mind to share the FR about bulb at 520hours?

do u need to increase any contrasts or brightness ??
*
I would think ' NO '.

Our eyes are remarkably adaptable n u get used to de lower lumens count if it dims slowly..

I guess if u r n installer then Ya u'd see de diff cos u r always fixin up new stuff but for us, I really dont tink u'd tell de diff..

htkaki can see difference coz everyday sell new unit ma. when testing very bright, come back to own unit become dimmer sure very obvious hehe. For us everyday look at the same machine u can't tell the difference until you see a very bright machine biggrin.gif

Have a go at this test. Damn nice. hehe If u're good at this u can do manual calibration with ur eyes liao hehe.

Color IQ Test

My score is 3, perfect score is 0. 1st time do it 'page cannot be displayed' Dang do until eye oso blur liao, 2nd time simply do liao, eye cannot see difference liao.

Hehe i used to unplug the power cord right after i switch off until synco say it's bad for the PJ. Now i leave the PJ on standby and i tend to forget to take it out the power cord until the next day. The unit is quite hot with the PJ on standby. Is this normal?

Walau,

Standby oso hot ah!!!

Hi,

Why nid a ups for projector.. if for spikes then ok la but for just black outs .. then it dont make sense..

Shuttin down a pj lamp is not a prblm .. u jus cannot restrike a hot lamp meanin u cannot on back a pj tat still has a hot lamp .. ppl say u hv to wait a few hrs but if u tink abt it , how long does it take for it to cool down ?

Cheers

nope.  the image cannot entirely fit the screen. sad.gif

when making the screen, the measurement was taken with projector on the table.  now the projector is hanging and the wall fixture length shorten the throw distance, hence reduce the projected image size.  perhaps this is a lesson learned for DIY.

In retrospect.. u should hv fitted ur pj where u want it to go be4 u diy ur screen.. U should hv jus use de wall to get de actual size of img then do d screen..

I guess its too late now

so, the only reason to go for 720p projector is the big screen wow effect, compromising image quality?
*
Hi..

U r comparin apples n oranges.. Its true tat a 50in 1080p plasma maybe sharper in img but how close do u sit to fully enjoy its vdo quality - 3/4ft away??

I sit @ 10/11ft away frm a 9ft screen n its a wonderful experience, especially wif a HD source..

decided not to go projector path as it's quite difficult to achieve "man cave" environment in my living room.

already plunged into plasma display. i think it's cheaper, less hassle and good enough for me and my whole family.
just pray that it can last longer than 10 years, last longer than the previous old CRT.

Yup..

Part n parcel of livin wif a pj.. but for size vs prc .. there is no comparison..
