QUOTE(htkaki @ Dec 19 2008, 09:27 AM) Thinking of joining HD65 club eh? Hi htkaki, thanks for your fast support and also your friend for letting me trying out the projector at his home. At first I'm worried about the rainbow effect but after a while of watching it, I hardly notice it unless I purposely go and look for it. Overall the projector is great, it is bright enough, and the quality is HD when connect to PS3 and even to PC via DVI-HDMI cable. BTW I PM you the warranty card information already, Thanks.btw, we have another member in da house, cbsim megatron007, can update the members on main page? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/710779/+40 |

Thinking of upgrading my Infocus 4805 and was wondering if I should go for HD65 or just skip ahead to a 1080 projector because the price gap is so wide.
Is there a lot of difference between 480, 720 and 1080 projector when viewing DVD on an upscaling player like Sony? |

Upscaled DVD will look better on a 720p than a 480p pj. However, it is best to use BD for optimum performance.
Are you in Malacca? |

Yup. Why? Can demo in Malacca?
I've demoed BD before but not used to it. They look too real that it feels like video from camcorder, i.e. no movie/film feel. Anyway, am more concerned with DVDs now because I have more than a 1,000 in my collection - almost all original. Is there a lot of diff for upscaled DVD on 720p and 1080p pj? |

Can demo in Malacca? i was using InFocus 4805 (480P) before and also owner of 100++ Region A DVD. u can certainly see a lot of difference using HD65 (720P), especially with HMDI - Upscale DVD player. Had actually looked at your sales thread a number of times and considered between the Optoma and Panasonic. But just upgraded receiver to Yamaha 663 so a little tight. |

If you can afford it, of course go for the 1080p. But if using that just to watch upscale dvds is an overkill, better stick with 720p. Once you get to HD source, then you will yearn for more juice 1080p. QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Dec 20 2008, 05:00 PM) Yup. Why? Can demo in Malacca? I've demoed BD before but not used to it.
