Hehe, i refer the trailer and game demo lah, u can see i put the word "Maybe", we all know what Japanese Dev can do, they almost hit the limit now, thats what i worry about the Japanese devs.

please note this is not console war discussion its just a feedback from you ps3 owners humble opinion about the extra disc space on blu-ray which is not fully utilized which makes us feel cheated..

like i noted before, Blu-ray is still not the standard format yet, that's why most dev's can't churned out every inch of it, with the exception of MGS4, which needs to be downgrade coz the game is too big for bluray. That's why devs still prefer the 360 or wii platform for their games.

btw PC have its pro and cons...

so do console...

but console is solely for gaming and home entertainment ...


making a next-gen PC will cost u RM1350 ??? i dont thinkso .. so thats the con for the PC

how ever getting a PS3 for RM1350 ? no sweat

anyway im a avid PC user and a console gamer... but i prefer to stick to my roots since i was born with a micro genius in my hand. (those days it cost like a bom to buy 1 micro genius system)

No need feel so lose lah, just play the game u want now, maybe later or next years Sony will pop up a surprise for u, just like when i playing the PS2 Shadow of Colussus, WTF, why each mission only got 1 BOSS, i never play a game like this b4, n this also the best game i never play b4, thats what i respect on Sony.

I really don't understand some supporters. Wasn't the PS3 supposed to be at least 3 times more powerful than the Xbox 360? If that's the case, why hasn't it happened? There's a double standard going on here. When the PS3 was first unveiled, fans were quick to point out that the PS3 will wipe out the competition when it releases. Now that the PS3 is here, and it's not as promised, the supporters back up the PS3 again, saying that it needs more time?

I'm sorry, I don't see it that way. I want my purchases to justify itself upon purchase, not sometime down the road. Remember when the PS2 had games like Zone of the Enders or Ico? Those games immediately showed what the PS2 can do within the year it launched, not sometime down the road. The Xbox launched with Dead Or Alive 3 and Halo, games that showed off what Xbox can do. Dead Or Alive 3 in particular was praised for technical excellence for graphics in 2001, despite PS2 having a one year headstart at that time. So, new hardware can perform well. It just needs a good developer to harness the console's power.

Again, I'm not bashing the PS3 because it's trendy to do so or anything. There's simply not many killer apps out at the moment. MGS4 is the only graphical juggernaut on the PS3 so far. I don't doubt one day, when GT5, FFXIII or White Knight Story gets released, these kinds of discussion will be forgotten. When the time comes, PS3 will no doubt regain whatever grounds it lost this time round, and convince more developers to put out amazing games on the system. I once believed that the word PlayStation was synonymous with quality games, lots of quality games. PS1 and PS2 had an overwhelming number of games. Memorable games that I remember fondly. If PS3 were to reach that expectation someday, there can only be good news for gamers everywhere, not just PlayStation gamers. Don't take the console competition too personally.

FYI the XBOX processing core is better than PS3 if im not mistaken due to the 3 xenon processing unit that kinda crap stuff for technical geeks.. its been mention by a game developer for both x360 and ps3. futhermore the GPU of x360 is superior than the ps3 one also..

BUT ANY how we are not discussing of the long term playability.or console war.... my ISSUE here is the CONTENT we are getting from the blu-ray game disc is not enuff for the price we pay for...

haha, actually TS started this topic in playstation section to share with PS3 owners, dunno how it ended up here for console debating

since ps3 ori games are expensive, i really don't mind doing more research and reading up on the games before buy. if the majority of the titles are merely average and not worth to buy, also kinda good news, cos less poison and less money spent

AA titles can consider buying, the rest can consider renting or trading used games

I know what you're discussing, and I also know what I'm talking about. Why aren't you getting your money's worth from the Bluray? That's why I raised all the past platforms. Those platforms showed that DVD could really push gaming forward in ways CD simply could not. The PS3 was not delayed for it's Cell architecture or for the Nvidia based GPU; the Bluray drive was the reason. You'd think after all the delays, the Bluray drive was going to work wonders for PS3. Somehow I always knew that game assets simply wouldn't be able to fill a Bluray to the maximum. MGS4 is the only rule to the exception. Perhaps we'll see more of that down the line.

actually a few game titles got HD-Audio, but mutli-platform titles seldom support it.

but very few gamers have the setup to enjoy HD-Audio - except those home theater fans with their nice setups.

Someone mention b4 , Blu-Ray doesn't help in Game Graphic, it use to be store bigger media and data, example like a video or picture at higher resolution, u need larger media to store it. Only the GPU and CPU play the rules for better game graphic and smoother game. Blu-Ray may help to store all the game data in single media unlike some game need to separate it to store it inside the smaller media depend on limitation of the media drive.

ya if there is extra space why not the dev. chip in the MAKing of the game, or commentary like in blu-ray movies... or even like extra contents like wallpapers, strategy books and all that crap to make ps3 users content wif thier ps3 games that are multiplatform

I think only the Game Devs can answer those question.

Blu-ray disc will be certainly put to full use in future, not only for game or movie, maybe data too.

We've seen that coming in DVD.

Nowaday games oso required 2 piece of DVD to be installed on PC. It will happen. Anything is possible , i think mostly movie need that much spaces because of 7.1 Audio Channel rite?

How nice if PS3 are equipped with 1GB of XDR ram + G92 or higher independent core.. xD. Be patient, be patient. The only bad thing about some PS3 game is they are not made exclusively for PS3, but instead normal game but are multi-platform. Such game are expensive and wasteful. I won't buy game that i can play on PC. Unless the person do not have PC and can only depend on PS3.

so far, PS3 exclusive games didnt let me down. Only those multiple platform titles. I tried Eye of Judgement last time, now that was next gen. Not the same shit over and over again, with added vehicles or more weapons. So moanings should be directed at the developers

That why i bought EOJ... yesterday bought 2 theme deck & 4 booster pack (set2).. but no PHANTOM card for me.. damn.. ... i think i kena mandi bunga... .... anyway EOJ.. really worth to buy... almost 1 year game but still i play this game.... really NEXT gen game....

i have to agree to ts.. i dont have a ps3 now but i think at this moment ps3 user pay lot more for the same title as 360 user.... i think maybe the extra cost is actually the price of the bd disc it self ... just may be... but for all ps3 user just wait la i think u gonna get better game soon just like mgs4... and us the 360 user i think one day we might have the insufficient disc later on where we have to pay fr 2 disc... now days game start to get bigger and bigger la... so i can safely say soon to come bd disc will fully utilize....

btw.. pls dont compare console and pc bcos this 2 is totally not the same la.. price wise also lot of diffrence.. and may i say console is totally for gaming only not for surf web and etc... but i bet at this moment not all pc can read bd disc... right... but all ps3 can.. hehe
