only 2 of my ps3 games are multi-platform titles i think i will only buy 2 more multi-platform title this year, the rest will be all exclusives OT: even on the 360, i tend to buy exclusives (2nd hand or discounted). actually, i just realised a small miracle. my xenon 360 was manufactured in june 2006! hurray 2 years and still working without any de-clamping or mobo reheating or fans upgrading, the most amazing miracle This post has been edited by acougan: Jun 2 2008, 12:57 PM

i dont think any multi-platfrom titles are "watered" down technically. do rmb, the 360 GPU is very versatile and the development tools are much better. of course, progammers are also human. sure they can work extra hard and utililize the extra space (maybe with better audio or special featurettes like those Director's Cut DVDs). but just like most other human beings, they'll just submit the minimum (like how we used to submit minimum in our homework and assignments )

actually asian region ps2 game also cost more than asian region xbox1 game. so, xbox pricing in asian region has always been very competitive. with the region-lock in place, xbox pricing can even be more aggresive in emerging markets (e.g china)
dvd is not a problem, most games if need be, can be published on multi-disc. only certain type of games need to compressed to fit into 1 disc - e.g open-world-sandbox games like GTA.

was Saturn an embarassment? i recalled it have its shares of good games? jrpgs? no need to hold your breath, JPN gamers already decided their jrpg systems -> ps2 slim + DSL. jrpgs dont need HD-grafix and HD-Audio. 16-bit jrpgs FTW!

haha, actually TS started this topic in playstation section to share with PS3 owners, dunno how it ended up here for console debating since ps3 ori games are expensive, i really don't mind doing more research and reading up on the games before buy. if the majority of the titles are merely average and not worth to buy, also kinda good news, cos less poison and less money spent AA titles can consider buying, the rest can consider renting or trading used games

actually a few game titles got HD-Audio, but mutli-platform titles seldom support it.
but very few gamers have the setup to enjoy HD-Audio - except those home theater fans with their nice setups.
