ya is quite OK for using spray but ...... the masking type is so sticky which makes my plastic model like this
http://i348.photobucket.com/albums/q357/wi...rx/DSC00150.jpp
Any ideas to clean it or need to repaint again?
Also for prevent these happen .... is that the Tamiya or Hobby Masking type would be better?

if u're using industrial masking tapes... of cos la like tat.. those tape are not meant for modelling... doh.gif
it's best to use tamiya one...

Huhu I did used normal thinner (industrial) b4, and the result...
Several of my gunpla parts melted, and so do several of the plastic plates and bowls in my sink (because i poured it into the sink).

Hmm but some ppl did tell me that thinner Cap Harimau (?;usually sold in aluminium container) can be used, but have to dilute it first

see wat type of paint u wan to use lor, then use the respective type of thinner to dilute it. acrylic paint use acrylic thinner, enamel paint use enamel thinner, lacquer paint use lacquer thinner... dont use different thinner on different type of paint cuz it will not dilute ur paint but spoilt it instead...

dude.. y all the fuss, reading all the questions u posted seems to show that u've been wondering around without having a real objective to meet.

even use spray can it can be as easy as i can understand as below:

clean ur plastic > masking area don't want to be sprayed > mount it to a satay stick > spray with spray can > second coat if paint too thin > done!

if u have to use spray can, make sure the can is shake well and always maintain a good distance so the paint won't clog on the plastic.
experiment wt them wil tell u wat is the distance.
always keep yr can spray sraying in moving motion. don't point and spray, spray and move around ur kit.
never attempt single shot spray to do all the job.
nice job is always thin and multiple spray.
u-tube has thousands of tutorial demo on using can spray.

for spray can, experiement 1st. don't think failure, then strip paint coz stripping paint wil damage ur kit, even to the slightest extend.
for masking, use tamiya masking take. if u feel expensive, then mask those edges with masking tape, the center or bigger part can use normal masking tape. just make sure u don't leave it more than few days. some cheap masking tape has the problem of it's adhesive side melt, problems to clean up.

if u've read, u've tried and say u stil got mistakes, ur last option is to strip the whole thing off with brake oil. go to any departmental store at automobile section u'll find brake oil (usual it's transparent red oil).

tamiya spray also got 2 type one... read at the bottle there... it will tell which one did you use... then find a suitable thinner for it...
