Use a Gundam Marker on it to make it "disappear". It will be less evident, but it will still be slightly visible, when you see up close and under a strong light. That's what I do anyways.

It clearly show the actual effect of each gold paint.

u seem to get the wrong idea bout topcoat... topcoat purpose is to give a finishing to the kit as a last step which is flat, gloss or semi-gloss...
wat u wan is.... after putty and sanding.. u'll nid to spray a layer of SURFACER/PRIMER to cover the scratches... it's grey in color.... then only u spray color on it... check the pinned threads for more information

i guess wat he means is... there is one way...
let's say ur part is blue... after cutting it out, the nip still visible so u use blue marker to color on top of it then rub it to make it not so "obvious"
this only works if the marker's color is similar to the part...
i dun really recommend becoz not worth getting the gundam markers just for tat...
gundam markers are for u to color the gundam kit and..... MG doesn't really nid much coloring anyway.....
since urs is Unicorn, purely white... ntg to worry about

yes... unless u wan to go to serious modeling..
which will be sanding the kit and repainted it...

there are alternative ways to get rid of the nip but it will be still visible...
use design knife to slowly cut the "extras" away...
1800-2000 grit sandpaper(this will leave scratches)
these are the few ways i can think of...

that mr.metal series all buffable and can come off easily.
worse thing is i had it scratch on the white armor (actually not scratch, just touch only).

if topcoat oso cannot help, then no choice lor.
remove with mr.thinner dap in cotton but, slowly rub off then re-prime again lor..
now i only use it to paint/highlight certain rivets or pistons.. bad idea to use on large area.. sure kena one.. prime no prime still will tanggal one..

Ahh ok thnx for the help, i understand now lol. smile.gif

I think for Mr.Metal Color there's a special primer called Mr.Base Metal or something right? Looks like silver when you spray it. Don't know if it helps the metal color paint stick.
*
Mr Metal Primer is to prime METAL surfaces, so that when u paint on metal surfaces the paint wont come off easily. smile.gif
