@jep, Am surprised Citibank tells U that U need to swipe more than 2x a month to get annual fees waived cause they told me it's not possible to tell me as that's in the future and no one can tell the future [what absurdity!]
I can't say I've had much problems with my Citibank Credit Card [it did fail me once when I was in Australia but that was probably in Y2003]. I did have some drama with them last couple of weeks but ah well, other than that it's quite alright.
Having said that, I'm looking at moving onto MBB except I don't have an existing MBB credit card and am a little too lazy to get it applied online.

Well...in a sense...it does not make sense haha...but the main reason for me to consider it is that..i might be doing a lot of travelling overseas in a coming months...so..HSBC vs Citibank...hmmm

@jep, Citibank charges 1% Administrative Fees for all overseas transactions so if U do intend to use ur credit card when ur abroad, U might want to reconsider Citibank.
I spend on average RM4k p/month on my Citibank Credit Cards and find it ridiculous for them not to offer me the waiver when they're offering it to others *hmph*

The Star dots on Citibank is nothing; just a reference for 'batch' reference for Citibank - or at least that's what someone once told me. It doesn't matter whether U have 1, 2 or 3 stars.

@David83, It has nothing to do with credit rating or nothing to do with status. Also, the more stars U have on LYN just means U spam lots; doesn't necessary co-relates to quality

The star was introduced during the time when fraudulent cases are rampant. Thus it's a safety measure. During those times, when you still have the manual "swipe" machine which returns you the slip while the merchant keeps the slip. I.e. they put your card face down on the slip and swipe it to make an impression on the slip. Thus using the "star" it enables the fraud detection unit to identify whether or not the transactions are really fraudulent as the fraudsters wouldn't know how many star one has on his/her card and to mass produce, they would rather have the normal details on cards.

Hi all,
Other than DA, Maybank and CIMB Petronas, are there any other free for life CCs that do not have any TnC attached?

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Jun 4 2008, 02:35 AM) Hi all, Other than DA, Maybank and CIMB Petronas, are there any other free for life CCs that do not have any TnC attached? The only card from MBB is MBB Petronas Visa. CIMB has two offerings - CIMB Mastercard and CIMB Petronas Mastercard.
