That sounds about right. Hence my hesitation not to fall to the trap biggrin.gif
The other day I almost booked a RM9 MAS flight. After adding surcharge, it swelled up to RM425. Pfft

@Syd G,
I don't think U can blame the airlines for the fuel surcharges though admittedly I don't like the idea of it *sigh* Also, I find it ridiculous that it's so high. Apparently fuel charges + airport taxes + administrative charges for a flight to Hokkaido is RM1400!!!!!

No need to access. The new applicant must put your details or card details (cannot remember which one) in a special application form with MGM section.

The rebate will be credited directly into your CC account.

Can anyone tell me if i funded my Paypal using HSBC creditcard to pay for my eBay purchases??

Does the International Charges applies as well??:

8. International Transactions
Mastercard and Visa charges a surcharge on top of the exchange rate. The banks also choose to charge an additional administration charge on top of that

Maybank: 0.5% (waiting verification)

CIMB/DA: None

Hong Leong: 1%

PBB: No Info

Citibank: 1% --> verified by tinkerbel

HSBC: 1% --> HSBC will also charge a Misc fee; bank isn't able to provide details on what that is but according to CS whom I spoke with, there's a small misc fee. (contribution by Tinkerbel)

EON: 2%

UOB: NIL

Standard Chartered: 1%

I believe it is an international charge as the transaction in question is in USD. Furthermore I think it counts as a cash advance.

@zenquix,
I don't think it's considered as cash advance. As to whether commission charges are applicable, I ain't too sure *shrugs*

any1 got use their credit card to pay saman online?

im now found this MYEG

QUOTE
PDRM - ONLINE SUMMONS DISCOUNT

EFFECTIVE 1st JULY 2008 –
Online Discount Of PDRM Summons Payment. - [CLICK HERE]

A 50% discount is applicable for those who receive the summons on the spot and pay them before or on the last day of the 30-day deadline.

Offenders who have yet to pay their summons and have not received letters summoning them to court are eligible for a 30% discount.

Those who have received the court summons are not eligible for any discount.

The public can pay their summons via the Internet at www.myeg.com.my by using their credit card or debit card. MyEG Services users are urged to print a receipt of the payment and keep it for future reference.

*just now i walk through the system, you have to register yourself, create an account with them.
to check saman, click PDRM logo, then key in ur IC. i found myself 1 RM50 saman. sweat.gif

to pay, tick the box and submit. for the CC payment, it's using the RHB gateway and charge RM2 for service charge. key in all CC 16 digit numbers and lastly 3-digit security number.
final step - click PAY. The payment will take 48 hours to update the payment in the PDRM system.

now my concern is even though it take 48 hours to updates, will my saman cancelled? how reliable it can be?
will printing out of receipt as proof of my payment to saman is a strong proof?

any1 got paid using this channel before? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Whether you had funded your Paypal using HSBC CC is your own matter, we wouldn't know. :)

International charges apply for Paypal funding as per your bank, however it is charged as a retail transaction, not cash advance.

You can do both rayuan and pay using CC at Bukit Aman traffic counter, they will issue an official police receipt, there'll be no doubt about the payment status. :)

Encouraging credit card holders to pay full amount

KUALA LUMPUR: Credit card holders who pay the full amount will continue to enjoy the 20-day interest-free grace period, says the national cards group chairman Gan Kheng Chai.

He said Thursday that cardholders who paid the minimum 5% on their outstanding amounts for 12 months continuously, the interest on the remaining 95% would be charged 15% per annum.

However, those who defaulted once would see the interest charged on the outstanding balance be raised to 17%. Those who defaulted for the second time, the interest charged would be increased to 18 per annum, he said at a press conference in Bank Negara.

The national cards group represents all the banks which issue credit cards in Malaysia.
