lol 8gb, why need so much, i hope they come out with better idea to cool off the gpu, always play full screen game can till 90+ temp.

of course not 8gb. i plan to have 4gb memory. now running 3gb. but last time around. system will only detect 3.2gb i think. so now can run full 4gb?

You're only partially right. Now it can detect 4gb ram but if you're running on 32bit you can only utilize 3gb. Only with 64bit os you can make use of all 4gb ram. So the only advantage if you're using 2x 2GB RAM is you'll have dual channel speed.

It's a 32-bit OS limitation in addressing. No matter what, you can't make use of all 4GB... unless you want other components to not work biggrin.gif
With 64-bit OS, you can go up to 128GB.

i just checked dell website, the BIOS A13 has been removed from the list. it revert bak to A12. not sure why. ohmy.gif

btw, other few drivers also got update. such as nVidia and UPEK driver(touchreader).

the xps1330 in office just go full screen in white this morning... called up dell and get a mb replacement 2molo hopefully....

hopefully it wont happen on another 2 vostro units...

Ok my Dell XPS M1330 has finally succumbed to the dreaded graphics card getting fried problem too, and guess what, it is exactly around 6 months!

Zz had i known about this earlier i might reconsider buying this, right now the technician is here replacing the motherboard, and he said the problem is still probably not fixed yet despite having a newer motherboard.

Fortunately i have 2 years of warranty, it's just damn mafan if this happens every 6 months zz, might need to get extra warranty.

but mine is 1 year only. wanna upgrade. waaaa

nway just change mobo yesterday. charger ok. batt ok. just cant on. lightning? forgot to unplug when Im mia for 3 days. lucky I unplug for ps3. call them and they send dell tech and change the mobo

Lol i need explanation too for tat bios skip to A14.. my lappy ady 4 months old, 2 more months to exp the nightmare...hate it
