QUOTE(mamata @ May 20 2008, 01:20 PM) can they get trauma? sometimes cat enter my balconi and bang the cage sometimes i see the cage from from one spot to another so if cat do kacau the cage, can they get trauma and scared ? Oh dear, a cat?? Yes, they can get traumatized especially if it occurs frequently. Please, please find a way to avoid the cat from disturbing your suggie... Felines are predetors to suggies in the wild. I have never allowed my cats to go near my suggies cage without supervision... And luckily my cats are afraid of me and understand not to mess with my suggies... KP |

They dont sell them by the individual worm, not sure if they do it by weight or by the scoop.
RM 1 can buy quite alot (about 100?) worms. |

mikozai.. they can eat the mealworms already at 2nd month.. but just like 10 meal worms per day... cause they need to be train to eat worms as well as sufficient protein for them as well.. mealworms normally can find in aquarium shops and they normally sell one cup of small cup.. those chinese tea cup or a scoop of spoon filled with mealworms for Rm1 and it can last u for weeks! prob 1 week.. something like that.. but make sure to cleanse and fatten them by letting them eat oat for 1-2 days before feeding them.. sawi will do for them also..

Mealworms is still the best in my opinion.... coz gliders need insects so mealworms and crickets are the best for them. Chicken should only come as a substitute when there are no mealworms around for them lah.
Anyway, Petster still have not replied me with the time..... but we are all gonna meet on Sunday, 1st June. |

Don't go an buy instant oats too.... not good as it can cause bad impaction and constipation. Rolled oats is the best.

QUOTE(mikozai @ May 20 2008, 06:10 PM) This has been discussed just a few pages back. To be exact on page 41. Please read up a bit lar... Breeding from same parents is inbreeding. To make it simple, can human bro and sis breed? No right... Same thing here. It will only produce bad genes. Read up page 41 for more details. QUOTE(orangecow @ May 20 2008, 07:16 PM) How to what? Neuter? Take to the vet lor... One correction to what emino said(I didn't notice that reply before as I was away)... If your glider is already bald and then you neuter, the bald spot will reduce and disappear. It's not permenant. After neutering, the hormones will reduce and will stop emitting the musk. Without the musk, the fur will eventually grow back and your suggie will be full haired and handsome again. KP |

QUOTE(mikozai @ May 20 2008, 06:10 PM) then must buy those need cook 1 ? supermarket got sell ? isit inside tin de ? You do not need to cook the oats. Rolled oats is available at most super market. Just open your eyes abit when you are at the oats section.Added on May 20, 2008, 6:21 pmand... is there any problem to let them breed if they are from the same parents ? bro and sis... lol... About bro and sister glider... did a breeder sell you a brother and sister pair? OMG man.... that is so not good. You gotta neuter your male soon. Reason? Genetic problems and health problems. There may be even a shorter lifespan for those born joeys. That is a big problem. Animals do not have emotion like us. We got common sense. We know from our family members, lovers, friends.... animals do not. They know their mom when they were young but once they mature, the male joey would see the mom as a potential mate only. In the wild, sometimes inbreeding happen but then it is rare. Even if it happens, the weak joeys would die or get eaten.... but in captivity, they may suffer if they survive. Don't practice this bro and sis thing if you are not gonna neuter the male. Right now your main priority is to neuter the male once he reaches 5 months old. QUOTE(orangecow @ May 20 2008, 07:16 PM) How what? Neutering? Read back, emino already posted his experience on neutering. You can also google glider neutering online. |
