hi guys & gals...
went to pet safari today & so a very very very sorry sight a squirrel actually dying in it's pitiful cage... my bf keep on repeating the words "my god, the squirrel is dying!" & "squirrel ni dah nak mati!" loudly so the staffs standing nearby can hear but they just ignored him. i was too traumatized to look any longer & left before i started crying... i told my bf that we can't do anything for the poor thing as our complaintS will fall on deaf ears & the authorities are useless as well. a very minor fine for animal cruelty. no jail time even for taking away a life. MALAYSIA BOLEH SO PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY TO STOP SUPPORTING THESE LEGAL TORTURE HOUSE. |

QUOTE(mikozai @ May 20 2008, 03:53 PM) but the things is...i very affraid of ...worms ...yi yuck... if you're afraid of mealies then you can try crickets...is there any things else to replace instead of worms ? if there is no then i guess i hav no choise but really need to get em worms..=.=" btw...feed worms wit oat means i put a spon of nestum to those worms there and let it be ? how long can i keep those worms a live ? like 1 month ? lol oat is not nestum. nestum contains refined sugar which is bad for gliders... the oat that kj mentioned are rolled organic oats which is uncooked oats... |

QUOTE(orangecow @ May 23 2008, 06:51 PM) Added on May 23, 2008, 6:55 pmoh, i got a question... do i feed it a certain amount or do i feed it until it doesnt wanna eat anymore...? so you have to agak2 loh... depends on the glider it's self also... like mine if it's their favourite fruits they tend to eat a litttle bit more but with every living thing over feeding is BAD! a balance diet is still the best.... |

QUOTE(Pennywise @ May 23 2008, 11:56 PM) I'm only going to give them err... next week onwards I think. Not sure yet wor. it's not advisable to handle them using gloves...Added on May 24, 2008, 12:23 amDo you guys put tissues in the sleeping pouch? I am worried they might dirty it, therefore, I put 4 pieces of tissue paper in it. I think I will change everyday or something. I had to hand-chase them earlier to grab them from the wodent wheel and put them into the sleeping pouch. They still crab a lot and still nib, so I use kitchen glove to catch them. Nib no feel. Had to catch them and put them in the sleeping pouch so they wont feel cold later at night. I am not sure if this whole glove thing was discussed but as long as I'm not holding them too tightly, I dont think I can hurt them, right? Any concerns about using a glove to handle them when they nib? they must get used to your smell & having you touch & hold them... that's part of the bonding process... you must overcome your fear of their crabbing & nibbing... when they nib at you just remove them to another part of your body... nibbing is also their way of tasting you as they are curious creatures that likes to try new things... one more thing, i don't think honey is good if given too much... once a while is ok & not raw/organic honey. must be the normal types bought in stores.... |

At 1st my fussypots don't want to eat the orange carotene slurp... Last night I put in two types, orange carotene & mango melody... Guess which one they sapuh bersih??? Orange carotene And I just realized something... It takes 2 days for them to try a new slurp flavour... It's like, "Aiyah... Since our slaves keep on giving the same slurp, we might as well give it a try.... Pity my slaves..." |
