my opinion is if they r sleeping in their pouches n have blankets in them i think it is enough to keep them warm.. i dun think u need to cover the cage..
by the way finish cleaning my room n try my best to glider proof it.. real tired.. i'm gona mop my sweat with a old t-shirt to leave my scent~

haha.. i get them cos of interest n kind of fallen in love with them at the gath..
but overall i love animals(not including spiders)..
although i kind of afraid/nervous to handle hamsters..
as for attracting girls for me = not really la..
girls would go so cute~ come pet them than move on..
will they accept u or not doesn't depend on ur suggies..
but 1 good thing of having them b4 being in a relationship is u can find a true pet loving partner..

How often do u people clean the cage and pouches/toys?
I heard that we shouldn't clean it that often as they will mark it even more causing it to smell more..
as for the tray below how?
so actually how long should we clean the cage once?

tried to go n get mealies at the pet shop and couldn't get any.. kind of sad..
bought sawi n diff vege for them.. gona try them out slowly..
fruits i'm gona buy down stairs...
n by the way.. the vines int he cage stinks.. took them out n wrap in newspaper.. dun know where to keep it from making my room smelly~

after 1 night of food preparing they actually ate half of the sawi i prepared for them n more than half of the sweet peas.. fruits ate all other than guava which they ate very little..

Omg went to this fish shop to buy meal worms n they they have this joey.. so dam small.. n they put 1 half cut apple for it to eat..

actually it depends on the budget u have.. if u have sufficient $$ to get a bigger cage go for it.. but dun 4get to add in the budget for other things like food, dish, toys, wheel.
and another thing is having them n doing research on them is kind of different..

mine hate light.. nearly got bitten by 1 yesterday, kind of scare to handle but does it stop me? no.. y? cos i love them..

haha.. i got a lamp with yellow light for that purpose but i think the light is too bright liao cos when i on it they go back into the pouch or tunnel..
anyways.. when i brought Micah out the started marking me n biting my neck(gatal + pain = dun know how to discribe)
is it normal? cos when i play with kapi he never do that.. bite once only on my ear..
is it that they still dun really know my scent? should i let them continue doing that to me?
once i put Micah back in his cage he started to mark the cage also..

there r lots of ways but u need to earn their trust..
they will bite but u cant back off.. so u need to let them bite u..
feed them by hand to let them know ur hand.. cut cotton shirts u wore/sweat in n put them in their pouches..
lots lots more that u can learn from reading the pages..
the other sifus will give u more tips on it..

u can buy wild 1.. just dun buy underage 1..
but if u buy a wild 1 u must know if u have the time n commitment to look after it cos it wont be as easy as looking after a suggie starting from a joey..
and they would crab n bite a lot at the beginning as they treat u as a threat..
think wise on this.. take time.. dun rush.. never rush on impulse when getting 1~

from the msg i think he is saying that he has 2 gliders, 1 female n 1 male and he is trying to breed them..
and that he is trying to find other people with gliders to lend him for breeding..
please learn about information of breeding and i dun think it is suitable to breed them like that.. if they breed it would get attatched so it would have bad concenquences if you seperate them in the end.
I personally dun support borrowing gliders to breed and would be mad if that is what ur trying to do also..

did u introduce them properly or did u just put them in 1 cage right away?
if u just throw them in 1 cage i would ask u if u read the threads or do research..


y r they at ur friend's place n not at ur place at the 1st place..
breeding for selling or not is not the point.. the point is did u do ur research about breeding?
if u just want to have "offspring" to play with than i dun think that is the correct mind set..
have u think of the long run? when they grow what r u gona do with them? have u the ability to neuter 4 or 5 males to keep them together? if u dont wan to keep them together do u have the cages(bonai selling cheap by the way)? is ur cage big enough? can u handle about 5 sugar gliders? n please dun say ur gona get the female pregnant than take back from ur friend n wait till they come oop..
these r just my personal point of view as i've just got mine so i am no sifu..
hope u will think about it..

as of company if u choose a male to accompany a female u should know they have high chance of breeding.. so need la do research.. I'm just telling u what u should have known(in my own opinion).. i may be wrong..

if u say we cant stop people from doing what they want so whats the point shooting the irresponsible shop owners in this? they can do what they want what.. It's about educating people.. blaming people has no point to it but educating them can cause them to educate others and future generations..
we r here not to shoot, it may happen but our main purpose is to educate.. if 1 cant take the shot than ur already dead b4 the "gun" has been shot..

one should do research b4 one buys.. one should not do it on impulse specially when it is a lot of years commitment..

by the way just now Micah keep biting my hand when i put my hand under my shirt which i use as the scent thingy(clothe by the cage).. n when both of them is out Joey n Micah like nervous over each other's present.. Joey is still very jumpy.. when they both got out of the cage it was like so hard to handle.. when u let 1 out n want to put back in they refuse to go in.. than the other would come out.. so susah.. any more tips?

bonai i met 1 of my juniors name bobo yesterday!! haha.. was so funny.. it was a girl..
anyways.. i still kind of worry of letting them roam free in the room.. i got gaps between cupboards and bed.. i kind of worry they dun know how to go back to the cage.. will it happen? or should i just not worry so much n try??
