yeah chill brothers of iphone, we all know the rule of being involved in the forum. get low and gain respect. respect is good. some harsh words might not be appropriate so we leave that thing aside. back to the root. back to the root. smile.gif
*
yeah but kesian sama bro frozzbyte. he even asked to go to US and buy one to get the price. this will not happen IF the person READ THOROUGHLY what frozzbyte wrote before. and he even quoted that frozz post, but strangely he didn't read it fully.

i just got to know about the iphone yesterday and yes i am lazy to read all 59 pages ... i aint so free sit here few hrs to read k .. i got my reasons so i asked the question.
*
u can go straight to the FAQ page. your answers are on the page one
QUOTE(alvinz @ Jun 22 2008, 01:28 PM)
let me ask u one question, if u r totally new to something, and just wanna have a new fresh guideline , wat will u do? for me i would choose a starting question and continue on myself ... seriously i dont know wats AT&T, all i know its a telco company or something in US.
*
search the thread first, ask question later. u'll save yourself from flame.
it's not u can't ask anything. but myb u need to try the search button first. let's see how much similar question u'll get from this thread. so u got the picture.
QUOTE(alvinz @ Jun 22 2008, 01:28 PM)
if the main site have a FAQ there answering this questions i wont be asking here also...
*
wow looks like u never use the search button in this forum afterall,
iPhone FAQ
that's your FAQ. and no u don't have to perform search at all. it's sticked on top of the iPhone forum. it' strange how people can miss it in the first place.

ok we got an identical question just hours before u post the question. look here,
Question for buying from oversea
and i also refer him to look at iPhone FAQ thread for further info.
and can u imagine, just after that question is answered, another almost similar question pops in this forum. so how u thing people will react?
plus, we r not customer service afterall. we just share our passion on this particular iPhone topic. but please be considerate.

lol, the situation became so strange. like i've said before, people don't read anymore. ironically, they still read to the responds / replies, yet they don't read thoroughly. hope this can change from today.

thanks for the info bro.

EDIT: oh btw, u can just say 'yes u need to subscript to a line' coz i already typed that in my question and my aim is to go to the Apple Retail Store to get it.

huh? 1st i don really get wat u mean ... 2nd plz do pm me the terms&cond page .. i cant find it .. been searching for in for the whole hr as 2day is my only free day to research .. thanks

so your whole hour is something worth shouting about? people here spent countless time and effort to learn the hard way.

how do you think they will react if you decide to be lazy and expect everything to be put on the table for you when information is all around the forum?

Added on June 22, 2008, 3:32 pmand im gonna add a reply of mine posted previously on the "The Official iPhone FAQ Page (3G details updated!)"

<but unfortunately, if you dont have that much time to go through 40 pager thread, then you are better off paying an expert to rectify your problems. you cant expect to have a win-win situation (being lazy and a cheapskate and yet expect to be spoon fed) right?

economics' principle number 1; people face trade-offs and hence there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world.

pardon my derogatory labellings, but majority (not all) of the noobs will always be noobs; they expect everything to be served nicely on the table for them.

you dont have to agree with me because if you are dissatisfied with my remarks, you can do the best next thing; continue to ask a noob questions and get a high octane flaming in return.>

Added on June 22, 2008, 3:34 pmhence, if you "aint so free sit here few hrs to read k", go pay someone to answer your questions. dont sulk like a baby and retaliate if you refuse to dig into your wallet or have more initiative to look through the web slowly.

and if you can excuse me now, i have to continue reading this subforum to learn more about iphone since im quite a cheap bugger.

iPhone is not in Malaysia just because our country's service provider's fault...

Blame Celcom, Digi and Maxis!!!

I think these companies do not want to cooperate with Apple company to sell their phones.....>_<

They already knew the demands of iPhone in Malaysia. They're big companies and obviously are very aware of whats going on here. Maybe there's some agreement which stopped them dealing with apple. I heard apple demands a lot of profit from sold iphones.

lol.. u insider of all the companies? dun make assumption or allegation just because iphone doesnt sell here and you are iphone fan. it disappoints me too when iphone is not official in malaysia, but it is unwise to say the bolded words. it could be the other way round; Apple's T&C?

Apple's T&C <-- this is true, my company as apple vendor, they come to audit, not only on product quality, but also human right, such as racist problem, discrimination, harrasment,
so i guess maxis , digi, celcom all fail on the audit for sure ~
lol ~

Hmmm maybe what forumer amirpopo said is true and I quote "get low and gain respect".

Maybe its time to get low and gain some respect from those people. What better way to get low than stop writing/posting here. Heck they don't even read what we wrote (for their own benefit) and even dare to flame us back without any fact. No wonder why i see a lot of other iphone seniors (more senior and experienced than me) just kept quite from this forum.

Hi. Let me update wht is happening in australia. Sydney apple store just opened last thursday but the iphone is nowhere to be found in the store but according to the staffs in the genius lounge, they will sell the iphone 3G in apple store too starting 11/7 other than vodafone and optus store. And the price for both prepaid and postpaid plan for iphone 3G is not released yet by vodafone nor optus. But optus already stop receiving deposit for the pre-order coz the number of pre-order already reached 10,000 which optus said they dun have so much stocks on that day. And for vodafone, about 60,000 already pre-register it including me. tongue.gif So the 1st iphone 3G in the world will be released in NZ due to the time zone and follow by australia. Customers who pre-ordered it and paid $100 as deposit can go to the store at 7am to collect it. Vodafone Australia is definitely going to sell the iphone on prepaid plan which means that it can be unlocked (unlock fees may apply) as under Australia laws, no mobile carriers are allowed to lock the mobile without giving the customers the unlock code. So we just have to wait and see how much is the iphone will be sold outright in Australia. wink.gif

Sure. I am finger crossed waiting for iphone 3G to be released in Australia as well. But for the 1st generation iphone, the price has gone down drastically in Aus. 16GB only $599 dollar which means abt RM1800 while 8GB is only $499 which means abt RM1500. But i think it's better to get the first generation iphone coz it is not as expensive as before plus in malaysia, 3G and GPS are not that useful. Getting the new iphone 3G just for the sake of following the popularity is pretty naive considering that iphone 1st generation and iphone 3G are not much different anyway. laugh.gif
