unpinned, outlived its usefulness

May i ask a question here?

I am bringing in a Spore set iPhone 16GB.

the service provider said that it can be used in Msia for most basic functions like calls and SMS. However, some "technical" functions like U-Tube does not work in Malaysia because it is "locked" to the service provider.

My worry > will other functions such as Internet, MMS be working fine in Msia for this Spore set?

I hope pals here will reply here, please. It is a decision time. Please help.

Just one question. I recently got a 16gb IPhone 3G for christmas. I don't know much about IPhone. Can anyone give me details on whether it can playback MP3s and DIVX videos? Or can I install Garmin software in it? What stuff do i need to know when using the phone in Malaysia. Got any major function lacking?

i just got a iphone 3g from hong kong , but i doesn't seem to work here...

As i understand all iphone from Hk are alreadt unlocked.
I can receive calls, but when try to dial out, it say call failed. I turned the 3g off.
I am using a normal sim card, could that be the problem?
