RM2699. Couldn't knock the price any lower so decided to bargain for more items into the deal. Ended up quite ok for me because the panel was in my opinion a better one.

PQ elements are not confined to the black levels only I'm afraid, you'd also have to look at the contrast ratio, colour, video processing and motion handling among others..

QUOTE(Neo18 @ May 6 2008, 10:40 AM) GUys, Best Astro Viewing at the moment, I think comes to Pioneer 8th Gen/Kuro.I want to ask, which LCD/Plasma brand and series do you recommend for the BEST ASTRO viewing. Because my family only watch ASTRO. thanks It is some level better than the Panasonic still. However, whether it's worth the extra premium (almost can buy 2) is up to you. It is definitely not 2x better though. |

QUOTE(imr4n @ May 4 2008, 12:23 AM) LG PG60 is RM4899 with divx playable via usb bro... what is the panel size for the LG PG60? Only RM4899? What's your opinion for LG? Don't know what's the qualityPanny PV80 is around RM45XX with jpg playable via sdhc unless forumers here can offer cheaper price for that LG PG60 it's better to get panny and if wanna play divx get a dvd player with that capability costing a couple of hundred ringgit only, still total cheaper |

i've realised that there are a few questions regarding whether to leave ur tv on standby or off at the main socket. i would personally recommend that it is switch off at the main. at standby mode, power is still being consumed. meaning that ur tv isn't actually off. the tv will alwiz be waiting for a 'on' signal for it wake up from standby. there has been many articles by both IET (formerly IEE) and IEEE on standby power. energy is being wasted in doing 'unproductive' work. there has been suggestion for standby features to be totally removed so that consumers are forced to switch off the power supply totally. by turning off ur tv or any electronics equipment, you are able to actually 'lengthen' the device's lifetime.

numbers, u r right there. But the newer products will come out that will use less than 1 watt when on standby. This is the law passed in the uk that will come into effect soon, 09 or 10. There is even a code name for it but not sure if the manuf will do this worldwide.

Latest update on Panny pv series. Jusco is having their members day tomorrow at puchong and they hv this baby ready for sale at 5199 currently. They will give at least 10% discount, based on previous members day experience. If they give more than 15% then this is the place to buy.
