i've sold my savvy and looking for a good replacement.

Sold my savvy coz of the high maintenance.

I find the handling is good and stable on highways.
Can the swift match these criteria?
Coz i'm looking for a good hatch again.

Yes swift is stable on highway, up until 160km/h. Savvy is stable meh? I drove my friend's savvy, highway the NHV damn bad, can hear everything on the road and feels unstable at 140km>

Above base on my personal opinion after driven both cars.

I've never driven up until 140km/h. But at 110km/h, it is a very stable car as compared to other cars of its size and budget.

i reached 180km/h for stock swift 1.5 (A), on HW la....hehe, dun try, no good, dangerous...

I don't think it will be that expensive but am expecting a similar price as the current gen Swift when it was CBU back in year 2005-2007. I guess the new Swift will come as a CBU for about a year or so before we start seeing locally assembled units rolling out from their Pekan plant.

It's coming in Sept. My salesman said it will be around rm50-rm60k. It's only 1.2l.

Really? 50-60k? If so then I might stop searching around for 2nd hand Swift and wait for the upcoming 1.2L swift.

The only thing i'm concerned is the 1.2l engine.

Wonder if they could bring in the diesel version.

Heard that the 1.2L engine ones have slightly more HP and they're DVVT's. Hopefully the price for one is within that range. Really like the new interior.

Ok, now i'm seriously getting confused. My salesman kept telling that the model coming to Malaysia will be 1.0l and i said i saw 1.2l only in the internet. I went to see the swift a few weeks ago. Need to reconfirm with them.

I suppose so. That's what a salesman told me too and I think it's quite consistent with the reports on the internet. Swift never had a 1.0l engine and I don't think the new one, with a bigger body, will be given such a tiny engine.
