QUOTE(niel @ May 7 2010, 12:25 PM) Swift - a GREAT long distance car for driver + passenger. The seat is so wide, comfortable and hold you well. Compare it with other H/T brand car in the same category, you will appreciate the comfort. what 2 tonne is that until you prefer the swift more? Handling and road holding on highway, nothing of segment B cars from the H and T brand can compete. Simply excellent! Handling is on par with my bigger >2-tonne car at 160km/h. The car's weight is not the problem because of its very well designed aerodynamic. The only problem is the car build quality, rattles on the first day which can't be solved by Suzuki Malaysia. I really don't bother because it's one great little car to drive. Pickup from 0km/h is slower than same segment H or T car, but once your speedo hits above 60km/h, try to floor it and feel the push, quite effortlessly. Sound insulation is not as good, but not bad either. The engine doesn't have any fierce roaring like the T car. If I am not ferrying any passenger behind, I will pick my Swift for outstation and leave my elephant (which is an excellent cruiser by the way) behind without giving a second thought! |

Hi guys, my sis went the swift test drive today. Pretty cute and comfortable i felt sitting behind but she did not go more than 50km/h. The keyless go feature was impressive.
The thing i would like to know is whether spending an additional Rm6k is worth for the premier version? p/s: I was rushing to go somewhere today, if not i would have test drove and revved the car. Added on May 30, 2010, 10:35 pmBtw, the salesman said the spare parts are slightly cheaper than Toyota and Honda. True? This post has been edited by silverwave: May 30 2010, 10:35 PM |

The only thing i'm concerned is the 1.2l engine. |

QUOTE(zc_squash @ Jul 4 2010, 01:51 AM) Alto is coming to Malaysia?Ok, now i'm seriously getting confused. My salesman kept telling that the model coming to Malaysia will be 1.0l and i said i saw 1.2l only in the internet. I went to see the swift a few weeks ago. Need to reconfirm with them. |

Since many say it's 1.0l, should be Alto.
I'm waiting for the new Swift |

QUOTE(zc_squash @ Jul 5 2010, 10:10 PM) Altis' price? That would quite overpriced for a little fellow like the Swift, eh? I hope we get at least 1.3 or 1.5 Question is, will Malaysia be getting the same variants available abroad? I think there's a 1.3L engine for current Swift too but this is not sold in Malaysia. |

I took this car for a test drive yesterday. I like the handling of the car and the steering feel.
I told the salesman that i saw the pics of the new model and he is so sure it wont come here in the next 2 years! He even said he can exchange the car if the new model comes out soon. What do you guys think? Wait or don't? Planning to get the white with full specs. Added on August 15, 2010, 1:13 pmbtw, alto is too minimal. QUOTE(niel @ Aug 15 2010, 02:39 PM) i guess so too. it has just recently launched in UK? even if suzuki brings it to malaysia, it will be in a form of CBU first, follow by CKD maybe a year later? the fella also told me the 1.2 wont come here because it will affect alto's sales. from the UK spec, i notice only 1.2L available. if you check out 2nd hand market, swift command quite a good price, even higher than toyota! i'm surprised. i'm like you, considering of getting a 2nd one, but the new swift really looks refreshing to my eyes. |

QUOTE(zc_squash @ Aug 16 2010, 12:32 PM) 2 years?! That would mean 2012, eh? Which also mean the current Swift is on Malaysian road for 7 years by then. IMO, the Swift design is still quite contemporary and may not look outdated 2 years down the road. Haven't booked yet but my when my dad asked about any special gifts, he said he will give the door visors. Btw, did you get any discounts? On a separate matter, I'm getting about 10-11km/l at the moment. |
