how's the quick and toast testing?

He's not testing quick & toast... testing 10 commandments for block. It's a nice deck. Although the creator dropped one of the commands in the 2nd PTQ he played. I actually prefer Michael Toh's version of the deck over the original deck. There are a variety of different cards Mike chose which I think are much better.

Hi ya, Karry right? I do visit mtg-malaysia very often, under my brother's username (devilinside).

Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to go to the GPT tomorrow. I went to the previous GPT in CCE and got pwned badly! D: (and I'm kinda low on cash right now xD)

oh i played against the deck during testing on MWS (got it to work yesterday at last!)...
good deck i must say though the manabase is just shaky...

all the block decks i played against last night was those with big mana (playing 3/4 colours - all of them had finks and firesprout), ramps and some control (broken ambitions as rune snag replacement)...
i've testing RG shaman, mono red shaman elemental, mono black control and RG warrior...
RG shaman doesnt live up to my expectations and lost several games...
mono red shaman won me all my games (same as my regionals deck) partly due to top decking rage forgers...
mono black control is just awesome with murderous redknap, mannequin and incremental blight...
RG warrior was just average and i dun really like playing it...

when i have time i'll tinker around with other decks (kithkins, merfolk, treefolk and all their variants)...
the best opponent deck i saw was a RB control deck similiar to the mono black deck i've creature but wit the RB liege when he power out 4/4 redknaps T.T

another deck to note is mono B rogue deck...
explosive start and if not contained would be game...
together with the 3 damage draw 1 card merfolk rogue, it insane!!!

Hi, looking to start MTG here.

Saw alot of people playing this game in the past but didnt have the chance to try it out.

Tried to visit Comics Corner SJ earlier today to gear up a little and maybe learn a thing or two but it was closed. Also went to manawerx but i guess i was late arriving there at about 9pm.

Been reading through the rulebooks and stuff, just wondering if anyone's got some tips for someone trying to start from scratch.

If you live in the PJ area, Manawerx is usually open in the afternoon and has players.

If you are near KL / Old Klang Road area, CCE games next to Pearl point has Au Yong in the afternoons!

Who won today?? my deck was disasterous... record of 3-2... i guess i need to play firesprout after all... will be tweaking this deck abit more and try it again... more creature base heh...
