U playing a R/G deck and no firesprout .. thats just wrong.

This is the worst performance in a Magic tournament that I have ever played in.

Hari texted me to tell me you made top 8, and that you met him in the top 8... that surely can't be bad?

Anyone got some guide for a beginner like me in terms of deck building (i'm not really sure of the types available but i think some aggro type deck)? I've been looking at some decklists (standard) and notice that people are using cards from different sets. Kinda hard for me to collect them as i've only purchased a morningtide box. Any tips on what sets i should be aiming next (shadowmoor or some older sets)?

aim for lowryn/ shadowmoor block...
since u dun wanna be caught in the rotation after spending a lot...
wut cards u need from the older sets u can buy them as singles...
besides block decks are competitive in standard as well...

as for deck building...
building aggro decks would be quite easy...

if mono coloured: -
22/23 lands
38/37 other cards depending on ur build

if 2 colours u would need: -
23/24 lands
3736 other cards

this is the convention i used for my deck building for aggro decks (always keep aggro decks at 60 cards)...
if u are new u can try making Red Decks Win (RDW), a mono red deck which is cheap to build and yet deadly deck...

that's the reason...
why the mythic rare gimmick...
mystic rare is still rarer compared to normal rares if u count the probability (followup to ur link)...
and those mythic rares would probably be the chase rares (only a few junks since maro said he wont put all the tournament defining cards here) while junk rares being a normal rare...

thus getting a mythic rare which is good for ur deck is much harder while getting the crappy rare is much easier...
this is how i see it...

and boosters having 1 land now
the intro packs are nicer though...

And what do you guyz think the impact of 1 common card less in drafting Shards of Alara in the future? Is this irrelevant in an 8-man pod?

im against the one more land... u can get land almost anywhere... u just need to ask around for it... itll quite impact drafters lah... i love to see a sideboard card "ah... last card sideboard card matching my color" its sorta like a bless... now... last card would be land...

i remember drafting in game vault in iypoh and mun yip actually took the snow land instead of a spell card... LOL... well, snow lands are at least useful.... this land?? i dont think so... most prolly ull get lands as the last card...

see this they have 15 mythic rare in shards... i suppose to make it balance.... 3 every color... and they have planeswalker... so im expecting 5 planeswalker will take up 5 mythic rare... 5 more are lands coz well lands are actually rarer right?? another 5 i guess are monocolored... lets see hehehe

btw:- im playing warrior giantbaiting last weekend... but my deck totally disagree with me... ask karry... he dropped his 5th land and i oni have 2 lands in play... what la... im playing 24 lands summore... no more chance for me to play block... tch~

Why no chance .. still got chance larr. Got 2 more block torunament, one is on 8th June at Manawerx and 2nd is on 15th June at CCSJ.
