This is my tourney short recap ... im playing my same old UW Rev Control

Round 1 : Nik Nadzru ( Mono Red )
Game 1 : Dodgy hand game 1 , i die to double shard volley.
Game 2 : i bring in 2 teferi`s moat , 1 aven riftwatcher , 3 wispmare.
i resolve teferi`s moat turn 4 , proceed with gain life and beating the shit outta him. Doesnt help him that he only reveals creatures for crusher.
Game 3 : I outplay Nik with multiple reveillarks , riftwatcher , venser and aven cloudskates. Nik regrets sb out the crushers and the p. red 2/4 guys ...

2-1

Round 2 : Wee Tim Liang ( UB Faeries Antoine Ruel )
Err ... basically this is my own deck he borrowed. So i he gives me an option to id , take the win or concede or anything. Decided just play it out , no regrets...
Game 1 : after much hit trading and creature trading he throngs for the win.
Game 2 : i bring in 3 wispmare , 2 crovax . Killing the bitterblossom screws him . Also then i drop crovax
making him unable 2 mistbind clique as well as a no of well times rune snags on my part
Game 3 : He is color screwed, and i get my key cards. Full advantage to take the win

2-1

Round 3 : Peter Lim ( Faeries UB Peter`s Version )
at this point i must say i have no confidence against this matchup. As faeries has great matchup against UW Rev. W.o SB normally i have a pretty slim chance of winning.

G1 : a pretty much walkthrough for peter. Considered offering him a deal for a id but figured just play it out . Nothing to lose.
G2 : both of us have a slow hand but in the end i prevail as well as his own damage 2 bitterblossom kills him
G3 : A very bad hand. Now that i think about it , i shld have mulliganed. But 1 hour of sleep does that to you. You dont think , u just play . So he resolves turn 3 scion of oona , im ready 2 steal it turn 4 , but he resolves turn 4 another scion making my 2 sowers + 1 vesuvan shapeshifter useless in my hands. Naturally i die to a scion of oona x2 + mutavault 4/4 beat down. Cant top deck a Wrath and he has enough counters.

1-2

Round 4 : Karry Lim ( Faeries Again - Karry`s version )
G1 : Karry mulligans to 5 cards. Still has a bad hand i think. And i beat him for the win
G2 : Again Karry mulligans and i beat him down. He dies 2 land screw and stuff

2-1

Round 5 : Hafiz ( BG Elves )
G1 : Hafiz makes a lot of mistakes , so do i but i beat him down for the win
G2 : i bring in 1 crovax , 2 teferi`s moat , 1 pull from eternity. I make a lot of mistakes due to not keeping track of my life . But somehow i manage to win coz i top deck and he doesnt draw any removers.

Round 6 : Vincent Gan ( Reanimator )
At this point im way too tired. i See my tiebreakers. If i id there is a chance i wont make t8. IF i play one of us wont make t8. Cant be bothered. ID go for lunch .

Come back deck check and then langgar tiang . Haha ... opened my 2 boosters , gt my 1 wanderwine hub. Yay missing 1 now ...

Go dota then go home drop dead asleep wake up now 4am tongue.gif

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mark where were u ? i thought u were supposed to turn up tongue.gif

yo! graveyard hate doesnt kill the deck. 20 counters or nt drawing a wog kills it. haha ..... anyways i think my performance was great since i only had 1 hour sleep the day before .i shld have played against vincent gan. but pre sb is a very tough game & post sb is an even matchup.i ws already tired & a game against him will require 100% concentration . better id & go dota. haha .. this deck sadly only has given me 9th &10th placing each time. haha .... btw ill pay rm15 fr

Added on April 15, 2008, 9:02 pmhey guys just got my mail for the pre release event in LONDON. The prizes & formats played there so much better ...check it out

INTRODUCTION

The Shadowmoor Pre-release Event will consist of multiple 32 player flights throughout the day. The first flight will start as soon as 32 people have enrolled. As we are planning on starting enrolment as soon as the doors open at 8:30am, this means the first pre-release could start almost right away. We will then run additional flights all day, as long as there is sufficient player demand (minimum 16 players per flight).

In the afternoon (4:30pm) we are going to run a Shadowmoor Team Pre-release. This is where you get together with two other players, either friends or people you've met for the first time on the day, and enter as a Team. Each Team will receive 2 x Shadowmoor Tournament Packs and 6 x Shadowmoor Boosters to build a deck for each player in the Team, all for only £10 per person. You will then go on to play as a Team, with each player's results determining how well your Team does, so even if you do badly as an individual, you could still win prizes.

Also in the afternoon we will be running a Shadowmoor Two-Headed Giant Pre-release. Two-Headed Giant isn't a new format, but the official rules (which used shared turns) certainly don't match the kitchen-table versions some of you might be used to playing. In Two-Headed Giant each team consists of two players, each with a 40-card minimum deck. Both players on a team play a single turn simultaneously, like a giant with two heads. Both players share one 30-point life total. If that total reaches zero, the team loses. Coordination is above-board. Team-mates can look at each other's hands and openly communicate. Further details regarding Two-Headed Giant can be found in an article on magicthegathering.com (www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/feature/280).

As well as everything listed above we will be running a prize draw for some really cool Shadowmoor branded merchandise, which unfortunately we are not able to tell you about here. Every time you take part in anything on Saturday you will receive a prize draw ticket. Pre-register, before midnight on Friday and bring your confirmation with you, and we'll give you another prize draw ticket. If you are on our mailing list, or subscribe to it before midnight on Friday, and attend our pre-release, yet another prize draw ticket will be coming your way. We haven't decided yet, but we may even let you buy some too.

And of course we will still run 8 player Single Elimination Shadowmoor Booster Drafts as Side Events right up until the venue closes at 11:00pm.

(For anyone that doesn't know what we mean by a flight it is when a large tournament is broken down into lots of smaller tournaments, each run separately to the others, and with its own pool of prizes.)

yeah mike should look towards this rather then just giving away random lucky draws and giving losers more packs. After all this is a competition. There is always winners and losers. It leaves a bad after taste when u see other ppl being able to win more elsewhere ....

Added on April 15, 2008, 11:45 pmsigh i wish i can go for the London one but i guess eventide ill be attending if their pre release is in sept / oct in europe ...
