QUOTE(cshong @ Jan 13 2012, 05:48 PM) I also hope that someone can tell me the reason. The merchant did charge me US$7.98, and my paypal balance is always $0 even before the payment, that mean nothing deducted from my paypal balance. Better check. you are now paying only US4.79 to the merchant instead of US7.98. Unless you already received the goods/service from the merchant then only you can say you untung la.

Now, I found the reason liao. But don't know why. Before I pay, I checked my paypal balance, it is always RM0. But, now, I look at the "funding source" under the payment details, it says "Funding Source: $3.19". But, I always check my balance before my payment, it always display my balance is RM0 even though the balance is actually USD $3.19. Don't know why. You must have paid RM10 for verification. Then Paypal refunds the RM10 back to you. That may explain why you have such balance which you do not recall

QUOTE Since October 2010, RHB customers in Malaysia have been able to top-up their PayPal account by transferring funds directly from their RHB Bank account. Following that, we had conducted a pilot phase to explore ways for you to top-up your PayPal account through Maybank, Bank Islam, CIMB Bank, Hong Leong Bank and Public Bank.
The pilot phase has now ended and as such, the “other bank accounts” top-up feature has been turned off with immediate effect. Thank you for your support and feedback.
You can continue to top-up your PayPal account via your RHB bank account. Please click here for information on how to top-up via your RHB bank account. Just received this via email, so other bank top-up feature closed for good? this is bad

SOS : here Go to post #2132 dunno why paypal would stop that - wouldnt be helping the non-credit card users. weird

QUOTE(cshong @ Sep 9 2011, 06:11 PM) If this thread is not suitable here, moderator please move it. If there are existing thread discussing this issue, moderator please join instead of delete. I tried to link my paypal account with my new Public Bank Day2Day VISA card which is linked to my bank account. According to Paypal website, my card will be charged RM10. After that, I checked my bank account online. The amount on hold is RM15 instead of RM10. Why is this? I never use my card anywhere before. tried to verify my public day2day atm debit card which link to paypal account. from paypal website, it stated RM10.00 will be charged for the 4 digits verification code. but from the public bank online, i saw the hold amount is RM15.00 what is the additional RM5.00? I use Public Bank Visa debit card to link with Paypal; and also use it for other online transactions. Visa debit card is almost the same as Visa credit card, no problem at all, so far so good..
Yes, I suggest to use debit card rather than credit card for online transactions..

I have a paypal account linked to my credit card. Primary currency is in USD. Sometimes, I also received money (in RM) from my ebay sales. How can I use the funds in RM to purchase something in ebay? When I click buy in ebay, it will automatically choose my cc. No option to choose my money in the account.
