Hmm, me too. Same as you. My friend got her call exactly one week after. But now Friday already.. I still have not got any calls.

can i know what is ur encouragement to be management trainee at public bank? bcoz i heard the working environment and the is not so good. Is it about salary? benefit? better future?

hmm, if i read the early thread i found that if work with pbb need to stay work until 8-9pm. cannot go back early, people will stare at u. like that la.

i been working with them since end of nov 12....as a front line officer trainee...depends on ur brach working hour....mine is smaller branch hence less work....i left at 5.45 / 6pm...depends on my mood...other ppl haven finish their work i aredi left liao....they stare give them stare la...
coz i think will be resigning soon haha


tips for all newbie:

if u get front line position, better dun take la...no future, low future advancement prospect plus high risk
if u get credit analyst, is good position coz u will be damn busy work like dawg but u will at learn learn something useful..

oh, well, if you leave early but finish your work for the day or can meet ur KPI, don't need care if people stare at you. Usually no one forces you to stay back unless manager sees ur department not performing well so kena stay back and work . But i guess in most jobs, except maybe govt, staying beyond 5.30 or stated working hours in your contract is normal.. if you think 8-9pm is bad, try asking those accountants/auditors .

if everyday need to stay back until 9pm. no life at all hehe. btw management trainee still can get bonus?

haha yeah, though I really don't think many ppl will stay til that late or they must be very dedicated staff .

yeah, MT still get same benefits as full time staff (annual leaves, bonuses, medical claims) although not too sure about loans, either once you pass your probation only you get or once u complete the MT program, can't remember which .

got intrvw with them in January. Just wanna know if it is worth to jump ship from engineering to banking hehe

Well, I can only say its a different sector compared to engineering, whether or not its worth it depends on what are you looking for in the job (ie money, career advancement, challenge, work-life balance, benefits) and also if you are currently happy with your present job.

I'm sure many LYN ppl will tell you to just go for the interview to find out what its all about. If you don't like what they are offering, can always turn down the job

every field is like tat..
my fren as engineer being called 2 am at night to go back go production line due to some issue
IT fellas have to overnight at the office if a project is going on
auditors... they have hot showers in their bath room.. and so u know the management's expectations
my sister as underwriter.. while ppl are counting down for new year she has to work till 12 to close all cases.. (after 12 cannot work, no system, because after 12 those poor IT fellas' turn to maintain system

life is tough, man...

not sure bout the allowances. But from my reading on this thread, starting salary for fresh grad MT should be around 2.8k.

all management trainee still need to do cross-selling thingy right?if cannot reach target how??
