maxis cheater..last time i subsribe to mxs but after 3days using,i return the modem back and they promise to return my rm100 back in 3months time..till now,passed 4months but they never return my money...undisputed slowest,lousiest and cheater

Hey, I'm considering to get maxis broadband ... I was just wondering how do they enforce the 3gb limit ?

They'll cap you to a lower speed. But this can be overcome by ranting to the CS how bad is their service and tell them you want to terminate without paying the rm 200 penalty. When you say you want to terminate without paying the penalty, they will either direct you to their supervisor or to the *real* technical department and set-up an appointment to check the coverage in your area. After 24-48 hours...your speed *magically* improves smile.gif

subscribed to maxis bb about few hours ago, try ping google with cmd, best I an get is 172ms, worst up to 1300 over if open other site together for example lyn.

timed out frequently

i just activated Maxis Wireless today. Was not aware of this thread existent until today (yes i read thru all the 40+ pages blush.gif) My mistakes.

Iam on Power package (can go up to 3.6Mbps, O'really) & using ZTE modem
Location: SS21 Damansara Utama
Previous ISP: Streamyx 1Mpbs

First Impression...MENGECEWAKAN!

Slow page loading even Lowyat, Youtube hopeless, Online game hmm prolly waste of time. can't even do Speedtest properly to post it here. Afternoon till now the connection is stuck at EDGE. Tried moving the modem near the window but it still the same. Im still blur2 about this Wi-Fi thingie, do i need to move the modem around the house until i get a better connection or what?

I got a week to fiddle around & decide, but right now iam very pissed.

did any of u here switch to maxis wireless broadband from celcom wireless broadband? how was it?

i just cant stand the celcom D68 package here in my place UNITEN bangi. i cant connect smoothly without DC more than 3 hours every single day. that's what happened to me for the past 7 months. really SUCK. i hope maxis can do better, no?

at ampang area (tmn dagang) now 3 weeks cannot connect to internet...
more than 10 times calling their hotline and said wireless problem..they said will solve it asap...
but now 3 weeks already??????

they really do enforce 3gb capping they say "it'll only be slow and we'll not cut the connection" when i ask bout resetting like some suggested they say there is no such thing. they can't reset the data used.............><"
why all bb providers must enforce data capping? ish

Because some people tend to abuse the network and treat it as personal leased line, hog the network to download a lot of stuffs until other people can't use it at all.

In short, the policy is to ensure people who pay RM4 just eat mixed rice not eat buffet.

Just to share with guys..there is no use to complaint trough their customer service..

I have sign up Maxis Broadband since Aug last yr. I am quite fed up about their service.. at 1st when i was sign up they check my location have signal which they told me is strong... then i sign up for the RM 138.00 package.. but after 2 month usage the line is very very hard to get connect. mayb just 1 or 2 line only i can get. i have make complaint for few time. but they seem like treat me as a ball.. kick here kick there.. I have been using Maxis Mobile line for more than 5year.. I really cant imagine such a big company they don't have any discipline and good services. Always when i call to their service centre they keep on passing to different person to handle..so every time i need to explain the whole problem again and again in 1 time i call..

They always give me the excuse is their serve having some problem.even now i also fed up calling them just keep aside. I also try to talk with them since every month i pay for nothing. I pay but i cant use your service mean that i am paying for wat ?every month RM138....I told them want to termination my line but they told me have a penalty need to pay.But i told them i don't even use your service for few month is that ridiculous that you still need me to pay for it.Yes, i understand that when i sign up they have a service contract. But is no point that every month that i paying for nothing.

this case oredi settle and i can terminate without any charges..

i wonder, today i've been kicked back to UMTS almost everytime i reset the modem.connected got HSDPA, after awhile go back to UMTS.

does it have anything to do with heavy rain yesterday or because of the 3GB limit (i downloaded so many linux ISO) or maxis is just plain ignorant?
