QUOTE(ronramka @ Nov 30 2008, 11:32 PM) Connect using my LG VIEWTY i've registered for 5MB internet2go package. figuring out how to make this work with my ol' K800. that download speed that you posted earlier, is it in kilobits or kilobytes? it makes a hell of a difference, which is 500kbps This post has been edited by cracksys: Dec 1 2008, 07:06 PM

Getting Started

|
Hi All... Just a question, I was told that maxis broadband has a monthly cap of 3GB download, but when I called up Maxis call center to ask about getting the unlimited data package for RM99, I asked them about this and they say there is no limit cap. Are they telling me something that is wrong? Or are these 2 packages different?

QUOTE(blurr00 @ Dec 3 2008, 03:01 AM) hey dude's . umts and hsdpa stands for wat eh ? umts: universal mobile telecommunication system aka 3G http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Mob...ications_Systemhsdpa: high speed downlink packet access aka 3.5G http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSDPAin short, 3G is 3rd generation handphone tech. UMTS is one of the 3G techs and there are other 3G techs like CDMA2000, FOMA (used in japan). the 3G we always talking about in malaysia is UMTS that uses W-CDMA air interface/protocol (whatever they said) HSDPA in other hand is a protocol designed to increase UMTS download/downlink speed. so, it'll be: UMTS (W-CDMA) aka 3G
and UMTS (HSDPA) aka 3.5Gcorrect me if i'm wrong. This post has been edited by cloudstrife07: Dec 3 2008, 03:21 AM
