I just canceled Maxisbb after 1 week. The coverage is bad at my house ss21 Damansara Utama PJ. The modem light will not stop blinking if i force the modem to search for HSDPA/UMTS connection, if not it will default at EDGE connection. Even on HSDPA, the speed is awful, pages took ages to load or non at all. The only good thing about Maxisbb i can think off is its seldom dc/timeout like screamyx im stuck using now.

QUOTE(teck_dq @ Nov 28 2008, 11:57 AM) nope..use ur HP as a modem..but ur HP must support HSDPA(3.5G) in order 4 u to get the maximum speed...no limit if u subscribe the unlimited plan..but a bit expensive la..RM99 per month..but u get good speed than streamyx plan RM88... ^ why would there be a difference in speed? i thought they're using same comm tower. maybe your place just got upgraded, hence explain that jump in speed.
if you could re-test using maxis BB in your area and do current comparison, it would be great. i might migrate oso This post has been edited by cracksys: Nov 29 2008, 04:58 PM |

No but you can opt for signing up for a normal maxis package (pay rental) and then register for their Internet2Go. Maxis is overpriced anyway. You should stay away from them at all costs unless you don't have a choice |
