tested my modem just now with celcom sim. once i plug it in and launch maxis dashboard, it can detect the card and show the celcom signal on the lower left hand of the dashboard. does this means my modem is unlocked?

finally... im on 1.5GB package n now after 3.2GB usage.. they start to cap me here's the capped speed at Jalan Bukit, Kajang  before capping just now manage to get 2.2mbps

You can get more consistent results by purchasing an external 3G antenna. I got mine from vios7 (LYN trader) and it improves my signal and reception a lot. I realize positioning of the USB modem is essential in order to achieve higher data rates. With this antenna, it will extend the capability of the modem. I think those super high speed measurements are burst speeds like other forumers mentioned here. Most important is to download a large file and see the download speed after few minutes. I noticed mine is hovering around 200-250KB/sec which is very good for me. Thats more like 2Mbps...

(dat time i used >2.6GB already) then 1 SMS telling me i have reached my quota.. (dat time i used 3.2GB already) but actually my quota is 1.5GB.. even when i view my data usage the dotted red line is at 1.5GB so thats it la... time to SURF ONLY kena puasa download

Indeed, when I went to get mine, people are actually lining up to subscribe. No question asked. Just go, fill in particular, sign, take modem and go, and it keeps repeating for the queue.
