mmm....look like your old package paying higher price, maxis never offer old customer for new price.
In that case, i suggest you terminate your current package and apply for new plan 6GB @ RM98. Then you will get extra FREE modem.

u need to check whether u did sign any contract for yr current line.
best way is to call to maxis center and ask them on this. maybe there is way to upgrade yr existing package without needing to terminate and re-apply it.

I have some quetions here:

1. all wireless broadband packages no contract or some packages only got?
2. for new purchsed package: any activation fee? any handling fee ? billing fee? any ' hidden' fees?
I seen thier website mentioned handling fee & activation fees do not apply, but I stil wanto to confirm.
3. can cancel anytime we want? is that any fees/hidden fees to pay when terminate/closing it? RM200?
4. any detailed term & condition ?
5. all packages now depends to ' quota' , not speed package, am i right? and speed based on bla bla bla... like as they stated wat location... line... etc..
6. need to use sim card? sim card provided?

i will call MC. i use this package about 1 1/2 year..

then if got any contract should be over after 1 year.
My friend also paying RM138 now for registering on behalf on his Myanmar friend ( because if foreigner need to pay high deposit ), he trying to call maxis to change plan, but maxis said need to terminate and apply new plan.

1. Nope. Just prepaid.
2. Not really.
3. Yep, read the T&C properly.

5. Umobile has unlimited, while Maxis offer the best speed of all telco.

just view my first bill thru online, no charge for any duty stamp, fees....
btw, my package is RM48 bundle. just paid upfront last time, so first 2 month no charge.
So i believe other package also no hidden charge. Thier website stated very clear, just pay upfront,
eg.
1.5GB FREE modem.
RM150 for 1.5Gb. RM30 rebate every month. Pay RM15 for 1st 5 months, RM48/month after 5 months.

note : RM28 rebate is for 1GB top up quota FREE last month.

i'm using bundle package, Home value, 2GB @ RM48.

No free usb modem, only give big LAN 3G modem. ( i keep it in the drawer, never use it. )
RM118 upfront, so first 2 month no need to pay anything. No trial for first 7 days, non refundable. ( I already test with my prepaid, so no problem ).
3rd month onwards, pay RM48, 2GB quota.
( that actually meaning the RM118 for first 2 month, RM59/month )

when i apply that time, maxis not offer 1.5GB free modem. So this is the best package that time.

Now since 1.5GB FREE Huawei E1762 modem @ RM48, upfront RM150. RM30 rebate for 1st 5 months, this is worth for it.
Only different is 2GB vs 1.5Gb.

Let say if use 1 year,
2Gb Home value - RM118 + 48x10 = RM598
1.5Gb - RM150 + (RM18x5) + ( RM48x7 ) = RM576 ( FREE Huawei E1762 )

so that mean for device pakacge, A handling fee of RM200 will apply for not using more than 12 months although no contract

It is quite interesting i saw in web "No minimum contract period", but very disappointed saw above thingy, Rm200 for termination although there is no contract. don't know whether they will charge admmin fee , handling fee for termination?

fees and charging are not mentioned very cleary in advertising/main page of web. we dont know unless we go thru find it in detail and detail.

yeah, that's interesting...i missed that one..huh. so, device package is really contract one(12month)...hurmmm i thought can terminate anytime without the termination fee...i guess not

see the link, it mentioned NO contract, it CAN terminate anytime, BUT need to pay termination fee although there is NO contract.

before subscrip to any plan/package, a very detail infor should be review first, that y i need information as i asked few post ago.

i'm not sure where you found this. But look like that was old package Term and condition.

yeah, need to do research first...nobody mention any termination fee though...i guess they forgot or something...thanks for sharing
