doesn't yr speed get throttle once u hit 3gb? or r u the lucky few with un-throttle speed?

i just got my own maxis.. i try installation again.
the setup wizard completed successfully. but then, it fail for device driver software installation.
I'm using win7. anyone have any success using it in win7?

i am considering signing RM 48 which limited at 1.5 gb..
i plan when sufting net or watch movie using laptop sambil download....

i so hope tat any internet company will give us unlimited one day...haha

hey guys.. just call to the maxis center regarding my problem.
according to them, i need to install some patch for my win 7.
they said will send it to my mail, but till now.. i still hvn't receive it.

anyone here know where i can get these patches?

weird, my windows 7 RC and professional both don't need any patches or fix at all.

shit.. even after install the patch, it still cant works..
even try on my hse pc (win xp sp2).. also cannot works..

i think something is wrong with ur stick. cause from my experience, i tried using the stick on my netbook win 7 RC, desktop win 7 RC and later win 7 pro, all don't need no patches. Just plug and play.

oh shit.. guess i hv to try the installation on other ppl pc/nb to verify this.
if not, hv to go maxis center dy.. such a hassle..

when u return, they dont check the modem.

also, that's their OWN driver download page they SUPPOSE to be respnsible of their software/firmware

Call the support center again this morning.
Told her that after apply the win7 patch, it still cant works.
then tell her again the whole story..

I am able to install the software and after the installation completed, my nb will try to detect the modem to install the driver.
then it will give the error below after some time.



then she ask me to open msconfig and disable all startup program. I tell her, i'm using company nb, so cannot disable them due to access control n security policy set on the nb.

then she ask to check whether got proxy setup for IE or not. i say got. then she said cannot help me as i need to remove proxy or something first. I was like WTF. this got nothing to do with my problem at all.

Then i also lazy to argue with her. i ask her, if update my firmware from the maxis self help page, will it void my modem/etc?
she said wont.. so i just update my firmware and the dashboard software. After that reinstall the modem again.

This time, it manage to install it.



just now tested it and it's working now. will test it out later at home to see whether the line is stable and coverage is ok or not..

Hey i want to ask how you guys dial the customer service for maxis broadband? I seems cant get thru.

if u have maxis postpaid, just dial 123 and select broadband. else gotta call the 1300 number.

i call this number for the maxis customer service 1-800-82-2000
