to me, yeah. 24/7 constant 110kBps. but it's capped at that speed only. my fren's 1mBps streamyx managed to get up to 160kBps, but during peak hours the connection deteriorates till 40~50kBps with higher latency than usual.

well i was one of the early users during maxis propaganda of wbb (early 2007). the connection is awesome. i can play MMO that is hosted in the US (not WoW, cant remember what MMO). and bittorent download for my usual linux ISOs is always more than 100kBps, sometimes can reach up to 200kBps at night.

i subscribe to maxis few months back.
Maxis staff told me that i can make immediate refund withing 7days is im not satisfy with the broadband. Guess wat.. Maxis still owe me money untill now. I called and check they ask me to wait for atleast 8months to get my refund. Basically I got conned.. =,=
I cant even make connection at all.. Now I'm happily using my U1 Celcom broadband. Thou my connection kinda slow at times but atleast i can still connect to the internet.. HSDPA only available at certain spot in my house. Most of the time in connected without it.. Well, I guess I cant complain much. Atlest when Im going overseas I hope I can still get connected.. =p
Im going to Brunei in February I will post further update..

Last word : NO GO TO MAXIS. THAT'S FOR SURE!

Sure can, here's the spec for the modem.

Technical standard : HSDPA/HSUPA/UMTS: 3GPP R5 GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 3GPP R99

Operating frequency : UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/1900/2100MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz

External interface : EGPRS Multi-slot Class 12, Mini USB interface,SIM/USIM card: standard 6 PIN SIM card interface

Dimension : 89×45.6×14.2 mm

Weight : < 50g

-more stable if compare it with my phone..
-boost up the speed a lil bit (using phone = up to 340kbps using rapidshare, using E272= up to 390kbps rapidshare also)
-the software is good, got sms function..

got this with good price too thumbup.gif ..know this seller through lelong..cheapest in market..only RM390..

Its actually cheaper in the long run. You could get a E220 Modem for like RM 350 (Its way better then you paying rental for that modem which you don't even get to own). Then you could use it with any provider , or even switch to Maxis Internet2Go. Once Yellow Guy comes with 3G , thats it. You could be using Digi's 3G Services as well
*
prasys, do u mean E220 Modem unlocked version can be use for maxis wbb?
a bit tired with my big ZTE modem blink.gif
