I've downloaded more than 15GB size of data in a month and the speed always remain between WCDMA and HSDPA..but sometimes it dropped to GPRS due to unknown reason..

Yes & no.

when constantly dc definitely yes. but sometime the line stable no dc also redirect to the !@#$%^ http://www.maxis.com.my/maxisbb?CPURL=httpxxxxx

another possible explanation is, the modem constantly switching between two or more network mode/connection/whatever-wcdma&umts-was-called smile.gif

My friend who uses Maxis wireless broadband for quite some time now have not faced any issues with it until recently it keeps getting disconnected frequently.

A lot of wireless broadband providers or should I say most ISPs in Malaysia usually do not care about their service once they managed to obtain a lot of subscribers. wink.gif

^well atleast my maxis wired broadband is still going strong for me. constant 100~110kBps all the time, 24/7.

Wired broadband service usually will have less issues compared to wireless broadband. Many wireless broadband providers fail after a while. sweat.gif
