hmm, this is better,
Vdrop:
When you select a Voltage setting from the BIOS, and the real voltage applied is less than the selected voltage

Vdroop:
If the voltage flunctuates from idle to load, then the difference between the idle & load voltage value is named after Vdroop

Defintions quoted from an AsusTek Expert

Mathematics derived by me brows.gif
In mathematical terms,
Vdrop = VBios - Vcore(in OS)

Vdroop = Vidle - Vload (During the period that u stress the machine out)

@big sifu a1098113
how bout my deduction of de strappy thing for higher multiplier?...
i can get more den 388Mhz n i dare not raise more then 1.5V
any ideas to pass on to me?...
(dun tell me get new proc la...keke...no $$$)

another thing is about rams...
i now eyeing either teem extreme 800mhz (rm255) and crucial ballistix 1066Mhz (rm 295), both also 2*1Gb kit n also microns IC, which 1 do u recommend?
n i might also be getting e8200 or other 8x/9x multi CPU
i dun1 2*2Gb yet cos i'll get CF 3870 soon, which mean i would even lesser den 3Gb of rams s i wouldn't embrace 64bit yet

ohmy.gif You targeting so many stuff... BTW, the strap thingy, you mean BSEL mod? I heard it doesn't work with certain motherboard and Foxconn Mars is one of them sweat.gif

cos i have some stuff got off loaded mar...haha
no no...its not de BSEL mod n i dun1 mod it lo...
from wat i noe is de FSB strap would determine de NB speed which depends on de ori multi n de multi u gonna use
so as de e2200 has high multi...it put even more stress on de NB

From my own experiences... Its true too, unless you're a lucky boy whistling.gif According to a1098113, Team guarantees you that you'll get that D9 chip and that overclockability while Crucial doesn't.

yeah team extreem man.. all the way.. i am not sure whether crucial practices the same thing of having good chips and bad chips in the same bag , but since both team and crucial have the same d9, might as well work out the team instead smile.gif

Added on April 20, 2008, 10:48 amyou can get the 2*2GB kits dude, but u wont find d9's in them. You want OC go for 2*1Gb kits at the moment, you want capacity, go for 2*2Gb kits. Not to say that 2*2Gb cant oc, just that u need to push a lot of Vdimm, i think. Windows 32 will say only 3GB found, but the system will still maximise 4 GB smile.gif

Bsel mods, u do it only if youre experienced, even i dont do it, unless i am psychotic extreem, coz when u do mods like that, u have to be precise on the pins.

Straps i would suggest that u play with your default multipliers.. dont go lower coz of the NB ratios involved.

teem extreme r confirm d9 gmb on BP pcb while crucial r jus confirm micron chip from wat i found out...
n ppl ask me take de crucial cos by default ady higher speed hence would be able to go much faster but i not sure bout tat
as i also found out teems r readily going beyond 1000mhz
i'm more incline to teem due to de D( n BP PCB, jus wanna ask opinion...thx guys

n i think 32bit can only detect up till 4Gb inclusive all de memory (vram, system ram) due to 2 power 32 limitation
hence if u put 4GB, when de system depend low on VRAM, de more RAM can be allocated eg if ur VRAM = 512 but tat instance onli need 8, that means roughly 500mb RAm can be added into allocation
so no matter how, u'll lose it here (RAM) or ther (VRAM)

btw a1098113, i like ur new sig...
low n tight... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
