i prime my system while watching movies, surfing and even doing some work, that's because we're using low priority CPU, you should try on high priority (say 8 or 9), then you should see... brows.gif

SuperPI @ tight timing + higher CPU clock total pawnage brows.gif

i remember the old days when i'm on DDR 700, while some at DDR 500 IIANM, but mine @3-4-4-8, while him... extremely tight, it's not 2-2-2-5, it's way tighter than that and some figure was at 0 value... thumbup.gif

well, that's the old days, currently i'm on 2x1GB + 1x1GB (3 RAM Modules) with loose timing (5-5-5-15) @DDR2 800MHz, also Kingston KVR + Aeneon..., not badla for crappy chipset available biggrin.gif

overclocking isn't entirely about luck... it's about get the most potential possibility of your (whatever) processor, RAM and GPU you have at the moment... mellow.gif

I'm not sure what VID stands for, for i supposed it's the min required voltage that a cpu would pass all those straineous tests [ Burn - in (hot, cold, room) , final tests etc)] So that's how the cpu is rated, Bin 1,2,3, etc

Mine for example is 1.1875vid. does 3.24ghz on 1.325v
woo kucing, hold up... your E2140's VID is 1.1875V? shocking.gif thumbup.gif, that's good dude... wow, must be one of the rare gem huh... brows.gif

i change the title to

Intel Celeron (E1XXX) & Pentium Dual Core (E2XXX), so that people who bought E1XXX can join us smile.gif, IMO, E1XXX it's just another Conroe's srtripped cached from 1MB to 512KB

updated too, 1st post smile.gif... so... the only forummer i know is rlhc17, he bought E1200 and managed to get 3.6GHz, so Raymond... show us la... brows.gif

alright.... but is he the only one here with a celly??

yeah... currently, but hope we'll get more brows.gif, the processor pretty cheap, but not as cheap as E2140 since, last i know E2140's price @RM220~RM230, while E1200, can get around RM185~RM225 (IIANM) (pardon me if i'm wrong aight... blush.gif)

checked through some review site about the processor, seems like the cache affect the performance unsure.gif

as for the Celeron family, there's only E1200 (base on Intel Official Site), but from other source, we got E1200, E1400 and E1600 brows.gif

i think you should stop right there on comparing AMD vs Intel in this thread smile.gif, later flame war begin le... and we don't want that... unless it's AMD vs Intel thread, then it's ok la... brows.gif whistling.gif (although it's not right to do so too...)

Cant help it ler. Might be using intel but still AMD at heart tongue.gif

Either way.....haihz....any1 else got ideas about my stuck at "FSB400 with 8X multi" problem? sad.gif
tried on lower multiplier? tried raising the voltage on NB? i don't know (not sure though...), but that's what i did on searching maximum FSB icon_idea.gif, lowering multiplier with raising voltage and FSB like mad doh.gif laugh.gif

@sniper69
You use DFI DK P35 T2R-S right??
Any comment on this board??

-pWs-
yeap, using it... well, frankly speaking, it's a good board (considering using dual core system on both Mars (as in my previous setup) and this DK P35 T2R-S)

+ve
+ good in overclocking
+ i believe can reach 500MHz FSB, only that my processor and RAM that hold it back
+ vdroop still got, but not as many on quad core system
+ fine tuning RAM timing brows.gif

-ve
- 4 layer PCB
- need a good airflow or else, "running naked" brows.gif, since the SB and NB cooler is in passive
- not as good layout as Mars (on Mars, barely touch the graphic card PCB when removing RAM)

that's all i think... other than that... none, i can't really push the board too high since i'm on crappy RAM with dual setup capalang PSU whistling.gif

i'm not so sure on running 45nm on this DK P35 T2R-S, but our friend here, mfcm already use E8400 IIANM icon_idea.gif, you can ask him brows.gif

then foxconn mars FTW la...hehe..btw abg penembak tepat...between mars n dfi which one u would recommend me to buy? biggrin.gif
i'd go for Mars brows.gif, why? you get a lot freebies and IMO, i rather to go for higher end DFI than low-end DFI because of the feature offered, not that overclocking la, but the heatsink and so on... icon_idea.gif, not to mention, UT got 6 layer PCB which is better than 4 layer icon_idea.gif

QUOTE(heizad @ Mar 24 2008, 09:38 PM)
afraid if my cm hyper 212 cannot fit the mars sweat.gif
IMO, your Hyper 212 should be allright, my HR-01 can fit nicely not even touching the NB heatsink...

the BSEL mod seems promising, for some cases, we can get higher since we're at 266MHz, while some case... seems like hit the wall already... IMO it's like "flashing new BIOS" on processor doh.gif laugh.gif, i'd like to try but to need to get a conductive ink icon_idea.gif, it won't damaging your processor... just make sure when "drawing" the line...

im curious now, even BIOS at default i.e. non oced E2220@2.4GHz- prime95 failed on the second and third test - third test (blend) failed almost instantly
hope u guys bear with me, really noobie in ocing intel proc.

i did some reading yesterday but still confuse in many things - at default RAM is running 800 - meaning it is on 1:2 ratio right?  is 1:1 supposed to be better?
whoah... we have highest E2220 here, and it's new too brows.gif, anyway... i remember in eXtremeSystem.org got a pinned thread with Stable@Stock. anyway... what board you're using? i'm afraid that's because of the vdroop or the E2220 of yours is bad chip... blush.gif

intel IIANM, love high FSB icon_idea.gif whistling.gif

erm... try on 333x9 with DDR 333 Memory, it'll on 1:1, if it's a good chipset, you can even tighten the timing brows.gif whistling.gif
