pls lah...im living in sunway area using this U MOBILE...2nd floor..they said it's the best on 2nd floor...the fastest that i've ever tried is around 1mbps only...it's ard 5-7am tat time...normally 99kbps below...

damn slow lah...but anyway..i have tried few before..still better than Maxis...

I was surprised with what some users can get especially digilife. Previously many commented that U-Mobile's service is really slow.

hi guys..
im kinda newbie here...
do u encounter the same problem with me using u mobile usb hsdpa modem?
the webpage loads terriblely slow but downloading something is amazingly fast...i can achieve 2.0Mbps at any given time...but using limewire to download stuff is a bit hell....after 12am then the speed will increase..
any solution guys?

Added on February 16, 2009, 10:39 pmu mobile is using celcom coverage....dont be fool guys......what do u expect from celcom....but manage to use more than 5 gig capped for a month..i think my normal usage per month is around 30GB...

i tink i edy overlimit the 5gb..will they extra charge me? now suffering slow connection.. how to setup proxy setting on Umobile?

go goggle for how to setup proxy on your particular browser and also look for free proxy yourself as there are plenty up there

abt the cap, i ady downloded more than 5GB, but U still din enforce the cap yet cause there are still plenty of bandwidth available cause U din hav so much customers yet rclxms.gif

at A or B?

it's a trade secret... if not, everyone will jump into the UMobile wagon and the speed will be reduced... biggrin.gif
as i have said earlier, start your download after 3.30am for 'maximum' download speed
that's the true potential of the download speed that u can hv with UM (3.30am - 7.00am)

i reckon it's coverage that contribute to this
those areas near to KL Town Center will have the max. speed as the signal towers are abundant there (with different hardware being installed as well)
main focus will always be given to KV areas

wherea your connection settings hav been optimised by in the dailer U ady

those areas near to KL Town Center will have the max. speed as the signal towers are abundant there (with different hardware being installed as well)
main focus will always be given to KV areas

i am currently using my U connection in Seremban which is abt 60km fr midvalley
but my IP says tat i am in KL , which is similiar to wat Celcom did, use in Kl but IP based in Sarawak doh.gif

now U ady built more base stations and now ady expanded its 3G/3.5G to Ipoh and Seremban .

one thing u guys must knoe is tat its data only connection can only be used wif a USB Modem and Celcom ones can be used on a 3/3.5 G fon and a USB modem

my area kena blocked by a hill there and thus the signal was not good
else where, i'm a happy guy... smile.gif

UM Data Service can be used with normal 3G phone as well
just that u can't make call from the Sim Card

edy search for proxy ip n port.. but all slower than non proxy setting..
just stick wif non proxy

sure or not............. abt the sim cause when i slot my usim into my 3G fon, it shows sim card registration failed but it runs fine in my USB modem
maybe yours is tied your voice call ? or maybe mine is the new batch tat can only enable packet switch whereas yours is packet switch ( data only ) and circuit switch enabled

my speed now on a congested period behind a proxy

I'm student in UUM, Sintok, Kedah, and thinking of getting u-mobile broadband to use in UUM.

May i know UUM area can use U-Mobile broadband? The line is stable?

For a proxy to work well, your connection to the proxy server has to be good or else it is pointless to use a proxy server.

Yes, but u-mobile is also phone number (018) same like maxis/celcom/digi so i think it should be can to use..

UM Phone Service - available anywhere in M'sia
UM 3G Broadband Service - ONLY in Klang Valley and now Seremban
