It doesn't work for me even though I called em everyday. Things that pissed me off is the cust. service reallly wanna tok kok & bull wif me. Talking about u can't get a full 3.6mb, best basis, lot of ppl using the line , telling me my area in Kinrara is congest and lotsa ppl using, open the same website so many times make it slow (LOL!) , bla bla bla.  and other things that make u shake your head in disbelief.  I straight told him I knew about the shitty service so called broadband company here in Malaysia and just  reset my line back to how it was. I even told him, I'm subscribe to U68 which offers 3.6mbs and even on shitty day I shouldn't get the download speed as UB6 & UB10 plan. He said okay & will forward it to his superior, and the whole day nothing happen.

The next day, I called again and this time different guy answered. No tok kok & bull with me but straight told me he will pass it to the technical stuff. The same shit happen. Now 2 days after, still cap at 400kbps.

Now, could you please help me, how did u talk to em to make your line uncap again. thanks.

chill out bro smile.gif

u must show them that u really know everything. when i 1st called them, i told them, last month my highest speed before capped is 7.2mbps, so there is no way the slowness is caused from congestion or my modem. the day after, their staff called me and asked me to test the speed as he said he already uncapped my speed.
by the way, u should called them right after u subscribe to new subscription bcoz its no use u complain when u quota is reached even with capped speed. hope this help smile.gif

do you guys face any problem using Umobile broadband for streaming live shows ?

It seems like when u open up PPLive (a chinese streaming software) it doesnt move at all. While i tried using other broadbands, at least it plays and streams ..
*
YES I AGREE... It actually moves few kb/s if u observe the data received, but then the data sent would suddenly be very high making you not able to receive any data.... I would be grateful if anyone could enlighten me with this problem... Is it some settings we need to change or something? I am trying very hard and not able to load tudou.com videos as well ><

Thanks. I'll try this next month if I decide to continue or other provider offer better service. I stop calling them once my limit hit already since I know it is no use and they will use it against me. Now, I'm downloading everything to my heart content. nod.gif

I'm a heavy heavy downloader because i've got to download my favourite tv shows weekly and dvdrip, so 5gb is not so important for me tongue.gif
2 days can already reached my quota, so the rest 28 days i have to stand with capped speed.

by the way, umobile is one of ISP that provide good speed although its capped (around 400-500kbps). i've tried maxis 3G (weekly @rm25), after quota is reached, the speed is very sux, around 10-15kbps, celcom too. so, way to go umobile! tongue.gif

yeah, it's equal. soon digi will become partner with umobile right? hopefully the speed stays the same + the wider coverage of digi = perfect combo tongue.gif

using both digi and Umobile bb

digi is more constant speed during most time while Um varies
but when capped, digi is damn slow while Um is still acceptable but both still better than my experience celcom with or without cap

but I like digi higher upload speed than Um's as Um can't handling loading too many pages at once. while in my area, digibb respond and loads faster than screwmyx(websites not game latency)

@acat sry i think i beat ur 2 day 5GB. I have streamyx and I downloaded a 5GB game thru Stream.i thought i connected using streamyx but forgot i'm still using um... next morning woke up and done, average 300KB/s >.<" haiz....

u have to remember that digi's doesnt go up to 3.6mbps. it's locked at 700kbps, which makes it more stable.

that's why digi "play the game".

um/maxis speed goes all the way up. so ppl will get varied speed/performance (cuz not all places can get high-speed).

dont sorry me, sure game consume high bandwidth coz of its relatively high in size tongue.gif
while im downloading tv shows/movies that have average size 350-700MB, thats why u beat me smile.gif

one thing, my umobile connection become 'hang' when uploading something, have any of u encounter this before?

thats y i like umobile more than digi, coz its high speed, and can reach maximum speed, while digi provide average-good-speed for normal user.

my account expired today, and im gonna continue this service until found other ISP that provide better service than this cool2.gif

biggrin.gif agree that the upload is poor. hope they can upgrade their system to provide better upload.

whenever i do upload, i use streamyx (getting 1mbps avg) biggrin.gif

i used digi bb b4, but worse than UM (download n upload). got coverage, but barely.

ya... everything damn slow to load

@cybpsych
during none congested periods, u can only go up to 1mbps with digi but during peak hours, their networks still maintain at 700kbps

thats why i say
downloading with Um is more fun than with digi.
but surfing with digi is more smoother until i reach my cap that is drool.gif

ub68's "unlimited" = no extra charge after FUP quota reached.

officially, FUP quota = 5GB, but users are reporting effective throttle (384kbps) happens at 15-20GB usage.

why they call you? jsut asking your situation? or they did something to reset the capped speed?

i wonder in your next reload, will it happen again.

better tell them to investigate and fix it from their side wink.gif

p/s: good speed there.

i called them first this morning, and by 4pm they call me back to know my exact location, 15 minutes after that, they told me that my line speed already restored. i like their immediate response. way to go UM tongue.gif

by d way, during the conversation, i asked them what just he did to uncap my speed. he said he just reset and refresh my account and tada, my speed is back. i was like doh.gif . then i asked them do i really need to call every month to uncap my speed and the reply is yes as until now they dont know the cause of the problem for prepaid user. seems like i've to call them every month sweat.gif

of all the trouble, i dont mind call them as long as my speed is back smile.gif

here is my speed in my homeplace

i've been requesting the mods to open v2 thread, but seems they are lazy/ignoring my request.
