just curious... if i register for a postpaid broadband plan,

1. will there be 5% gov tax impose?
2. bill charges RM5? (like maxis)
3. is there a way to manage our account online?
4. can we monitor our usage? (like maxis)

just wana know from old timers here hehe
currently using U for backup purposes only (since maxis 'new policy' is ....)

if i change my modem to modems that supports HSPA for example E1762 (unlocked) n 7.2mbps capable, can my speed n ping improve?

i did some speedtest on u mobile website also.. my fastest ping is 126ms speed is 2780kbps

definitely no major difference.

minute difference may be seen due to better (antenna?) signal reception -> possibly improve performance.
*
yup... the transfer rate is more stable... almost flat line full speed 2.4mbps direct download here coz im sitting outdoor area in here...

and also need to use GoogleDNS to improve ping time for oversea sites~ download speed same

u've just proven a point that better ping does not necessary generates better speed smile.gif
*
but better ping improves surfing speed... especially websites that have a lot of links (image/object/ads) from other websites brows.gif

What I understand is that ping is important on those required "real-time" such as VOIP, Online game interaction with other players. More important is the routing of to the providers of this.
*
yup that too. but im not using any of those~ blush.gif
