Estimated next free seats sales is on Oct/Nov. IMO, for July tickets, you can actually opt for the price now, they are not gonna lower the ticket price especially when the departure date is near. Always buy your tickets in advance!

No choice. If you want cheap ticket, plan at least 6-8 month before.

Yes. Many of my friends already bought the tickets in-advanced to Bangkok during June. But finally they didn't go. Safety problem.

Brother, lately AA quite strict liao. Many complaint that AA forever trying to squeeze more $$$ from the pax..

I won't be surprised if (who knows when) AA would reduce the 7kg to 5kg...

Yup, one handbag (or small back pack) with one overnight bag. That's what I did, but I make sure that there's no clothing inside the small back pack. I passed 3 AA flights this way - without checking in any baggage.

the 1 bag 7kg thingy...

from my few experience flying with AA in last 2 months

the enforcement = tengok angin one

there's one time i carry 2 bags, 1 laptop backpack, and one travel bag
both weight shld be around 30kg in total... they didn't stop me also

and I saw a few ppl kena, even if they only have one hand carry bag, but looks heavy, and was asked to store in cargo.

Heya,

I wanna check with all of you... For economy promo, can I change name? On one page, it says Fare Rules, no name changes are permitted, but on the Terms and Conditions, it says I can.

So, which is what now? :S

AirAsia service is getting from worse to the worst of the worst! Attempted to change a passenger name to another, called up their PREMIUM line (RM1.95/min) and was told to email to malaysia-support@airasia.com and provide the details and attachments of the travel documents. Have been sending since last Friday til today, kept replying that they were unable to open the file attachments. Sent them JPG, PDF, DOC and RAR, and yet they can't open them. What sort of email system are they using? Not everyone has the luxury of a fax machine. When finally faxed to them, called them up and they easily just say... "oh, it's past 24 hours, so we can't change the name. You can drop by our counters 6 hours prior to the flight". ARE THEY EXPECTING ME TO TRAVEL ALL THE WAY TO LCCT AT 4AM IN THE MORNING JUST TO FACILITATE A NAME CHANGE DUE OT THEIR INCOMPETENCIES? What is this?

Any other ways I can lodge a serious official complaint and obtain a refund? Makes me sick to think that I'm gonna travel with this airline just because I paid a huge sum MONTHS BACK!!!

u buy the ticket is it promo ticket? if it is zero fare ticket you cant change.. if expensive ticket then u can change with charges, if you are at kl you can go to kl central directly, but i see you say you book a flight from penang.. erm maybe you can go to penang airport n ask them or?
