u buy the ticket is it promo ticket? if it is zero fare ticket you cant change.. if expensive ticket then u can change with charges, if you are at kl you can go to kl central directly, but i see you say you book a flight from penang.. erm maybe you can go to penang airport n ask them or?
*

Received AA latest newsletter.

Now they are flying to Hat Yai.

I could get a RM4 fare on April next year, haha! After adding airport tax, came out with the total of RM108/return trip. (1 hr 10 minutes flight)

My colleague told me they went to Hat Yai in April '10 via coach service, RM90 per pax/return trip, but the journey is superbly long! A whooping 8 hours on the road, OMG!

If you are in Penang, there's an Air Asia office at Chulia Street. No point calling AA, waste $$$ nia. Last time, I ever make a trip from Butterworth to the Chulia street office to clarify changes, end up "cheaper" to drop by their office then to call up the irritating phone line..

However, for clothes fashion & trendy wise, BKK still win. tongue.gif

here's an experience to share: this happened in lcct. i was travelling from lcct to alor setar. i brougth a plastic type electric kettle. so dumb of me, i put it in a semi transperent hand carry bag. so the dumbass airasia jaga at the departure room entrance tahan me and say this one cannot bring in. i said wtf LIKE I CAN HIJACK THE PLANE WITH A PLASTIC WATER BOILER? and argue with him. he say this thing got metal cannot bring in, must check in.

since i've already checked in with no baggage, i will have to pay extra rm30 under excess baggage! so what i did, i pusing one round, stuff the kettle into my backpack and told the guy i decided to leave it behind. later in the departure room the police scan my bag, and... without a wink, lepas rupanya! dumbass guy nearly cheated me rm30 and luggage waiting time!

Guys,

I always bring my targus laptop bagpack on top of AirAsia but this time around thinking of buying a small cabin type bag. What is the size for hand luggage compartment bag and is it possible to bring on board the camping @ hitchiker type bagpack, you know the big one.

need to ask all experienced ppl here..

- now i have tis situation. i joined this tour package to go to taiwan for 5 days 4 nights. since i'm already there, i would like to extend another 2 days on my own. so i ask my agent if i can change my flight back which is on day 5 to day 7 instead. she say ok but i need to pay extra rm530 (include meal onboard). Pls bear in mind that the money i pay beforehand for 5D&4N is included of return air tix. so, i was quite surprised with the amount money i have to pay. so i went AA site to check the tix - altogether lesser than rm500.

so i was wondering, if i shud

a) buy a new ticket myself... at least cheaper than the price she offer

or

b) still maintain the original date of flying back, but go change the date myself. is this possible? any charges/penalty besides paying the diff btw the 2 flights?

as of now, i check the price for both date flying back one is still the same lo..

hmm.. anyone can enlighten me?

Well i guess they just charge u some service fee for change of flights.
coz u need to pay diffrence in fare + RM100 aa admin fee to airasia..
(eg. when u booked u paid RM100 incl tax for return , n now its RM150 incl tax for return via the website. That means u have to pay diffrence in fare RM50 + RM100 admin fee = RM150

If u have the itinery n u can manage ur own booking then change it urself..
If not buy a one way ticket via aa to come back.

Coz right now u check the dates might be the same price but if ur travel agent might have booked it at a cheaper rate coz she book much earlier.she might have booked it at RM100 n now the rate is RM350 so u need to pay her RM250+ 100 aa admn fee + her service fee

I guess either way if not much diffrence might as well buy a new ticket..this way u can still choose o come back earlier or come back 2 days later.
If what ur travel agent offer u is much cheaper than u buy ur own ticket then get from ur travel agent.
