Haha.. Not really. When doing encoding.. Its take me sometime to finish it. Especially encoding some audio files. rolleyes.gif Other game like Dawn of War 3.6Ghz still able to hold the match. But not really for C&C3 as edmin says, that game required high processing power from cpu.

Ehehe.. Not really.. But since the graphic card can handle the game with full details, why not give it a shot? Dont waste man! laugh.gif
*
tongue.gif I thought C&C 3 requirement not that high in processing power.I was thinking it needs more graphic processing power.

Yeah, just check back the list, i missed out another X1950pro user = choongkeat with his Sapphire 512mb somemore. If my memory serve me well, he bought his Sapphire at SG. & i just check Bell price list, they still got X1950pro agp for sell. Since there got 3 S478 users on X1950pro, why not someone make a quantum leap for the very first S478 user to own a ati 3xxx agp ? Maybe just maybe a nvidia 9xxx agp lol
*
Another user here waiting for HD3xxx AGP.

The intel mobo still with me ler  tongue.gif  The capasitor got problem ..only need changing. It supports 4gb ram  rclxms.gif
Btw..my load temp never exceeds 70C i think  laugh.gif . Btw 3.1 ghz is the max stable for my asrock board edi  doh.gif
*
I see.Intel mobo cap leak? Between,your Asrock mobo comes with internal grpahics,it's good already as you can still o/c a little bit.

Lol.. Edmin say he tried with Athlon 64, 2GB ram and 76GT on C&C3 it was butter smooth thou. But in fact, 76GT should be able to hold this game well. I face when in crowded scene. Especially when whole bunch of army group together and attack. biggrin.gif

@barry80
Go grab the ATI HD 3series AGP now!!! lust.gif Then sell me ur X1950PRO @ RM200.. laugh.gif Hahaha.. Jk jk! Btw, the AsRock mobo was rocking stable. Owned 2 of them before.. Well.. No doubt for its performance as it was from Asus. brows.gif

@kabukiawie
Haha.. I was what will nvidia next series of card call after the 9 series. Since i know about PC thingy start until now, nvidia has been evolute from Geforce 4 until now Geforce 9.. 9 generation in less then 6 years time i guess. bruce.gif

@fylon,C&C 3 is really nice. Recently just try to play with skirmish hard enemy. laugh.gif I guess your proc is just now if you run on 3.8GHz since you said your game isn't that smooth when in group attacking.But i believe the GC is also one of the main hardware as it renders pictures too!

it is more likely the CPU usage AI computation+on screen units rendering, all taxing CPU. Simple example if you wanna know it is GPU or CPU bottleneck. drop your resolution/details and run the game again. If it still lags with multiple AI units on screen, then u can confirm is CPU bottleneck.

heh, me and kabu was there since long ago, even before geforce series. still remember TNT Vanta from Nvidia, struggling hard to beat Voodoo. Nvidia emphasize more on Direct3D while 3dfx promoting Glide. Suddenly these buggers from nvidia 'swallowed' 3dfx alive! laugh.gif

Lol.. Gonna test out edmin suggestion to see whether either is the GPU or the CPU is bottlenecking the game.

@Edmin

@fylon,
haha, my comp cant even run most wanted smoothly... can to adjust to lowest settings which makes it look suckier than ps2's... better off playing it on the console tongue.gif

btw, my 9550 can only run at AGP 4x due to my mobo =/
as for using it for anime... so far i've collected 90GB of anime on my hard disk... lolx... dragon ball z took almost 40GB already ><

@edmin and fylon,i'm using 1280*1024 resolution in the game on my 9550. Average i can get average 30FPS in the game. Is that good enough?I tried before 1024*768,it was giving the same framerate too.

bro, i recalled, i started the 3D craze in 97, after sick of s3 Virge doh.gif i was even a crew of a foreign 3rd party 3dfx drivers modder team for creating tweaked drivers package, and it does make a difference for lots of enthusiasts, especially when we tried it on NFS3, hehe... those were the days. thumbup.gif

@kabu,ya you may try the gc with this game.Quite good with the default settings in the game.

@Redundant , 95XT is a bit faster than the GE version in core and memory speed.

450 true power psu should be enough....if u r very heavy user and need to on da comp 24 hour...i suggest 500watt true power....
u might wanna try Enlight and HEC this two brand psu.....i got a streamyx customer which is using Enlight psu over 20 years....still rocking and stable.
