@Tanakwagu_noh,

4GB? Don't you feel the 4GB a bit wasted by our x86 CPU that cannot utilise the additional RAM above 3GB? :-)

4GB in S478 is really rare,this is the first time i see 4GB.But his rig is a bit wasted as it's just a torrent & downloading machine only. Nice mobo and proc for o/c. wub.gif

Kabu,my 9550 is not really good also.I can set my card runs at 500/700 to run 3D mark 03 and i got nearly 4.4k. Then later try to run only get nearly 4k. Both proc and Gc is already overclock. My version is using DDR2 also.I do notice from other forum saying that this batch of 9550 with DDr2 can go above 500/700 but i can't go beyond that.

Benchmarking is benchmarking,my stupid ATI driver loves to jump back to default speed when i'm playing games.My screen will freeze awhile when it's setting back to the default speed. doh.gif doh.gif ATI card not really stable and good in my opinion.

Added on February 27, 2008, 11:06 am@fylon,9600 also has 2 types. One is real pro and one is not the real pro. Real pro is running on 400/600 on stock.

@kabu,9600pro or XT is really nothing compare to those 6 series GC.Becareful if you want to flasg your card.Make sure the bios you use is corect.If you wnat 96Xt speed,just o/c it to 500/700.It's the same in performance.For ATI tools,don't use the auto detect for finding the max core and max mem. speed. The software is not accurate one.I guess your proc sure bottleneck a bit on your gc,but it's still acceptable.About my card cooling,it comes with a huge heatsink fan on the card same like those on 9600XT,but seems like useless. doh.gif

@fylon,actually last time my brother mis-flash bios into his MSI 9550 and end up can't boot up. But somehow he used a PCI base card to boot up his pc,then log into Windows to re-flash the 9550.Then the 9550 was alive again.I also not sure how's the way he did it.My younger brother is indeed more superior than me. Hehe.

@edmin,oh blind flash.But sadly i'm not familiar with it.Else i can share with you all.

@sang,I heard my brother said it's pretty safe and easy to do it.Before flashing any bios,make sure it's compatible or lese just softmod them.Softmod is the safest way.

@kabu,NF2 mobo.Once a legendary mobo with good o/c.Now quite hard to get the mobo even 2nd hand.

@fylon,79GS for RM200 i think that will be only happened after 2 to 3 years i guess.Then your 7600GT would be properly less than RM100 during that time. laugh.gif

@kahloon,your X1950pro really a great card.No need to o/c playing games at stock speed can feel the power already. By right now you are the king here in GC as your card is the strongest among all.

@edmin,that's for explaining the blind flash method.But my brother wasn't using this way to flash back the bios. notworthy.gif

@ReaperOfSoul,already editted your profile in the list. Long time didn't see you ehre.You already sold off your intel mobo?

@fylon,what i mean is after 3 years the value of 2nd 79GS become RM200 like that. cool.gif

@Redundant,you may try the timing with 2.5-3-3-5. I bet your mobo and proc sure will be stalbe with this speed.But gain of performance is not significant.CL 2 on your RAM may cause BSOD as hynix don't prefer tight timing at higher frequency.

@Redundant ,good to see you can run with CL 2 ...2-3-3-6 and 2-3-3-5 doesn't show much different.No need to run everest already i think.Keep on playing games then you will know your RAM stable or not.

@barry80,your list haven't up to date yet. The list is showing you on 9600pro. Now already change to X1950 pro ?

@kabu,VIA KT266 is already very very old already.I think your mobo is at least 8 years old now.Nice to see your mobo can serve you that long.I think in future the AGP users might just serve the AGP machines as secondary for movies,BTing,light gaming like that...So AGP users will still able to survive in this few years.

@Ray
Haha.. Not really. When doing encoding.. Its take me sometime to finish it. Especially encoding some audio files. rolleyes.gif Other game like Dawn of War 3.6Ghz still able to hold the match. But not really for C&C3 as edmin says, that game required high processing power from cpu.

Ehehe.. Not really.. But since the graphic card can handle the game with full details, why not give it a shot? Dont waste man! laugh.gif

tongue.gif I thought C&C 3 requirement not that high in processing power.I was thinking it needs more graphic processing power.

Yeah, just check back the list, i missed out another X1950pro user = choongkeat with his Sapphire 512mb somemore. If my memory serve me well, he bought his Sapphire at SG. & i just check Bell price list, they still got X1950pro agp for sell. Since there got 3 S478 users on X1950pro, why not someone make a quantum leap for the very first S478 user to own a ati 3xxx agp ? Maybe just maybe a nvidia 9xxx agp lol

Another user here waiting for HD3xxx AGP.

I see.Intel mobo cap leak? Between,your Asrock mobo comes with internal grpahics,it's good already as you can still o/c a little bit.

@fylon,C&C 3 is really nice. Recently just try to play with skirmish hard enemy. laugh.gif I guess your proc is just now if you run on 3.8GHz since you said your game isn't that smooth when in group attacking.But i believe the GC is also one of the main hardware as it renders pictures too!

@edmin and fylon,i'm using 1280*1024 resolution in the game on my 9550. Average i can get average 30FPS in the game. Is that good enough?I tried before 1024*768,it was giving the same framerate too.

@kabu,ya you may try the gc with this game.Quite good with the default settings in the game.

@Redundant , 95XT is a bit faster than the GE version in core and memory speed.

@fylon,else u can use also Fraps.Just on the program when u play game.If you want to use higher resolution then you might need to get a more powerful GC.1024*768 can play with ultra high is not bad on your 76GT.

Added on February 28, 2008, 10:41 pmI didn't know about this.Do you play hard in skirmish?I play using GDI to beats Scrins. tongue.gif
