@fylon,actually last time my brother mis-flash bios into his MSI 9550 and end up can't boot up. But somehow he used a PCI base card to boot up his pc,then log into Windows to re-flash the 9550.Then the 9550 was alive again.I also not sure how's the way he did it.My younger brother is indeed more superior than me. Hehe.

Hehe. actually i have read bout that sumwhere last nite .... if u flash with wrong bios, u have to use other pci gc and then flash back the back up bios for the gc .. for expert, it's gonna be easy i think ... but i don't think that i dare to do that ... |

Just finished 3 C&C 3 NOD mission. Gosh.. Now then i feel the pain of gaming at high resolution. Currently run C&C at 1280*1024 full high resolution.
@raymond5105 Yea.. But provided u owned at PCI card on hand 1st. Otherwise, never try this trick or else ur card will end with wrong bios been flashed. @edministrator Blink flash? Meaning flashing the card without the monitor? @Kabu Lol.. All got OC. Not bad lo.. But rarely too see Socket A user around now. |

@edmin,oh blind flash. But sadly i'm not familiar with it.Else i can share with you all.
@sang,I heard my brother said it's pretty safe and easy to do it.Before flashing any bios, make sure it's compatible or lese just softmod them.Softmod is the safest way. @kabu,NF2 mobo.Once a legendary mobo with good o/c.Now quite hard to get the mobo even 2nd hand. Added on February 27, 2008, 6:49 pm@fylon,want to let go your 7600GT again? This post has been edited by raymond5105: Feb 27 2008, 06:49 PM |

blind flash is a simple method of having a backup copy of the bios copy with an autoexec.bat that will autoflash with backup bios copy when your system boots. No need for PCI card.
btw, nf2 was previously reign supreme that topples the sales of i845 and i865 mobo. i love the nf2, especially the ones that comes with soundstorm. SWEET. @fylon, u do not need a more powerful card for cnc3. trust me, its the CPU bottleneck. tried running high details on an AMD A64, 2GB DDR400 and 7600GT AGP before. butter smooth with lots of AI units on screen. Wowo, V6 already. Cool, we still can survive very long. That is a good point for our old school rigs.
@ray Looking for new card? Hehe. |

After changed all the thermal paste and rearrange my cable and then plus in some DIY fan. My GC temp drop by 2'c.. @KahLooN |

Haha, if i sell my card to him then i no need use also. Currently the card already come back from warranty and i haven't had any time to claim it back. Probably this coming friday will go lowyat. Also try change to a noisier fan such as the delta, LOL. Sure will decrease the temp. |

@fylon,79GS for RM200 i think that will be only happened after 2 to 3 years i guess. Then your 7600GT would be properly less than RM100 during that time.
@kahloon,your X1950pro really a great card.No need to o/c playing games at stock speed can feel the power already. By right now you are the king here in GC as your card is the strongest among all. @edmin,that's for explaining the blind flash method. But my brother wasn't using this way to flash back the bios. |

guys, i see tat u all love to OC your p4 rigs... too bad im on an intel board where the proc speed is locked...
there is one thing tat i can change though, the RAM timings... i hav a pair of mixed KVR DDR333(hynix) and DDR400(kingston), wonder if i make them run at 2-3-2-6? is it safe to do so? will it burn my rams / mobo? thnx again sifus =) |

my axp no oc(no chance), but i oc the gc. i oc my p4, downclock 73gt(no choice). wahahaha..... @Edmin you reminds me your quadro last time. wahahahaha..... blind bet + blind flash. @redundant it wont burn if running at that timing, but i think it hardly run at that tight timing unless your ddr333 hynix ram is CL2 high performance ram. correct me if wrong. |

haha... dont want la....lazy to cabut test. and 73gt is bottlenecking the gc, no point. not p4p800x having prob, is me out of luck. @reaperofsoul at 51C is still acceptable but keep an eye on the temp. even though not too high but need attention. if got chance, grab a 3rd party hfs to tamp the temp down. i believe you will enjoy the cooler cpu temp and quieter experience. |
