Well, I did mention that it's a possibility. But I do know gliders can succumb very fast and hide it until it's too late or gets very serious.

I don't know whether an adult glider can pass away due to lack of protein in their diet for 3 weeks, but I do know recently someone's joey passed away suddenly and the joey was fed only mainly apples and pears. The joey was with him for about 3 weeks on this diet.

Any idea what diet were they on before she bought them? Anything exposed to them that could be poisonous or hazardous? Pictures of the entire cage as it was exactly when they gliders were in may help.

Not apples and pear ah.... the supplier sold the underage joey to that guy, and told him that the joey eats apples and yogurt. So the guy also fed apples and yogurt loh, which I think too much yogurt and apples caused it to have diarrhea and malnutrition.... coz underage joey need more than just apples and yogurt.

He told me pear also. He kept saying in cantonese or mandarin, then I said pear is it? He was like, Ah! Yes, pear. Oh yea, yogurt too, forgot that.

He told me apples. Hahaha.... nevermind, must be those 2.... he spoke to me in cantonese. Anyway, I got hold of a chinese caresheet translated by pet shack heheheh.... I'll post it to him. He got no email.... so I guess he doesn't Google too. LOL.

Oh.. i really feel for your lost thejamz, no one would like this incident to happen, sometimes unforseen circumstances do occur.

The most significant thing is that you learn from this experince..

OMG... freak accident! How come your fren didnt felt anything when he sat on something? Wont the glider scream or call out when being squashed? I feel so sorry for the glider. Seems to me that a glider's life is so fragile causing so many deaths in a week..

Refering to this previous post, i have heard cases like this or come across before, from neighbour, strangers who kept gliders..the sudden death associating with 'Only Fruit' diet. Hmm..funny...

It's hard to justify why. A deficient in protein play a part? I don't know. It seems that wide range of diet cannot be ignored, and the least, insect species must be provided.

In the wild, their main diet is insects, then fruits right? Kinda confuse a bit, I will try look up on this in spare time.
Is there anyone who kept gliders for years with just fruits only and they are flourishing well?

In the wild, gliders rarely find fruit. They find mainly blossoms.... and their main feed is tree sap and insects. In captivity, we give fruits coz it supplements tree sap and blossoms in a way.... but not ideal if fed alone lah. That is why we got those glider diets all over the internet. A guide for us to give a healthy diet.

We can give flowers too. Hibiscus @ bunga raya is good. My gliders chew and shred the flowers.

Anyway, today I got new toys for my gliders again. New wood to be precise. Now they got apple wood chews! Yay!

Warm? How did you warm it? You can warm it lah.... no problem but it is better cold or in room temperature.

went to pet safari in the evening.. met this one guy want to sg for his 12 years old nephew... i talk to him how to care for sg.. i show my pan to him.. after explaining he change his mind.. maybe he other pet.. he looked interested in bearded dragon.. that worker there recomended to him that bearded dragon.. hmmm... the joeys there under age some more.. so pity..

just warm it with boiled water... put d sluurp in a glass n put it in d hot water lor... thanks ya... they love it so much...

now i think it must be something with their health. but how would i know? they all was happy n jumping around all the time as usual.
