Hun, i think Kiah, previously underage joey, never need heat lamp and small enclosure now right? That day i saw Kiah..

From your description, looks like the underage joey has weak immune system, therefore you need to keep them warm when they are young, lest they will catch a cold easily right?
*
Well, I got Kiah as a 4 week old joey. Really tiny.... so as a 1st time owner, I was damn scared she would catch a chill. So out came a plastic container with lid and my infra red heat lamp for reptiles. I use the lamp every night. Later as she reached about 8 weeks, I stopped the lamp.

Kiah now big girl already. Fat too. Kapi is catching up.

Underage joeys will always have a weak immune system coz they lack their mom's milk. Some are strong so they can survive, but some can get sick easily from slight dampness or cold air.

sup sup everybody today?

two of u get milk already?

Added on April 22, 2008, 3:00 pmhun.. i heard u kenot feed coconut to joey's rite? is it?
*
Coconut... this I haven't try but it should be ok. If it is fresh, it is fine. If it is those dried ones, then do not coz it contains preservatives unless you dry them yourself in an oven.

Anyway.... to other people out there, the Internet is a wide source of information... but be aware that there are some websites that have wrong information. This website has quite a bad diet as it includes nuts and seeds as a free choice food in cages.

http://www.treasureranch.com/treasure/rzui...ugarglider.html

Just to summarize why I said not a good diet:

Nuts can cause intestinal blockage if the glider did not chew properly. Some people (including me) give sun flower seeds as a treat. I give my gliders once a week but in very little amounts. Each glider gets 2 sun flower seeds and are eaten under my supervision.

Parrot mixes are also not good for gliders coz they can contain colourings and minerals that are not healthy for them.

Anyway, I would never give raw peanuts and soft seeds freely to my gliders. And I think we should not do it too.

where's the pics???

Hahaha... I also wanna see the pics from KJ

Anyway, yah, dydy accidentally bit me. Today still pain loh hahah, but it's ok. Had to block dydy from attacking my Kiah.

I think it would take dydy some time to accept a new glider. Maybe bring out to socialize more with other gliders.

Jitshiong,

Be sad not, cuz you can still join the next..

During the gathering, i think all of them let their gliders out and mix with other gliders.

That's a bit stretching for my guts, so i kept them confined. I just scared that they will pee on others, run to the roof top, gush out to the streets..

And just to let you know, don't know who's glider freaks me, he dashed out to the car park and the group just chased after him.

I really admire Hun, can be so steady and cool, her gliders do not need supervision.

Only once i noticed her getting up and asked,"Hello, where's my Kiah, where's my Kapi?"
*
Cool? hahah.... I actually panicked a bit when I didn't know where was Kiah.... Kapi is the strayer but somehow Kapi enjoyed Evan..... Kapi ran on to the floor twice.

Oh, luckily not that bad. Hope your Combi gets well then. Luckily detected earlier. Remember to change her diet. Read the 1st page.
