Cute joeys. They started taking mealworms?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tried to intro them to mealworms but they still prefer fruits & my special brew of blended apples, honeydew & organic regular rolled oats...

You can teach your suggies not to mess around your head, might take a while, but it's possible. I teach all mine not to climb or play on top of my head after the one incident where Iggy poo-ed on my head shakehead.gif

So everytime they wander on top of my head, I will quickly scoop them up and say "No, not on my head" not sure if they really understand, but everytime they go on top of your head, scoop them down immediately, don't just freeze and let them go about on your head smile.gif
Substrate to catch all to the poo and pee smile.gif Best we found so far for glider cage is Litter Star or Breeders Celect. Or else normal newspapers will do but you need to change it like every 2-3 days, unlike using a good substrate, only change it once a week smile.gif

hahaha.... luckily mine don't eat on top of my head but they love sleeping there... best view in town doh.gif so now most the time me walking around like those people who carries a basket full of fruits/water jugs etc on their heads... can enter race of who can walk the fastest while balancing suggies on the head flex.gif

***Gathering Update***

I was just informed by Mr. Bryan (Regional Manager of PLC) that starting next week Pet Safari Ikano will be under going a major renovation which will only be completed in June 2008.

He apologizes for the inconvenience but are still agreeable and supports our gathering... He is hoping that we can postponed it to June with the launch of Pet Safari new look...

HOW???

What say you guys?

Do you wanna wait or wanna find another venue?

At the moment looking for another venue will be quite tight and a bit of a rush... Waiting for June is fine what with a newly renovated place, but it is kindda a while...

Any input appreciated.

Anyone wanna go volunteer to spy on Pet Safari? See if they are really renovating or not.

If we wanna do it at other places, it would be a rush, also, where can we find a good enough large indoor place that is easy for the public to get there? Coz we also must remember, we are doing this gathering not only for our glider community but also to educate the public.
*
hehehe... we don't mind being spies since we are quite free on our off days... will keep you up to date. pet safari at ikano right?

Nag is one thing, but nag or make the info public is another.

Tell them straight infront of the public.

Furthermore the side exhibition set up about the proper basic cage and all will definitely be informational.

ya man...

we must let the public know that it is NOT easy taking care of glidders (at the early stages la) special diets, bonding time, sleepless nights & always having a 3 year old kid with you for bout 15 years....

I'll volunteer to let them see my panda eyes due to lack of sleep & eagerness to play & bond with them from 12 midnite till 6am....

One more thing sifus.... My boy likes to bite our metal accessories... watches, rings & bracelets... is it something lacking in their diet? i know most animals will do that when they lack of certain things...
