hei guys, i juz applied for HLe on friday and i already able to log in ectrade today.
However when i wanna start trading, it stated "You do not have any account to place order, please contact help desk"

Secondly, I have to place some amount of money before i can start trading rite?
which a/c should i bank in? the general Hong Leong Investment Bank a/c (001-00-170263) as stated in the user guide? or they will seperately assigned u a new trading account?

need to bank in some money to your trust account before you are granted for trading. yea, just bank in to the above mentioned a/c by you and inform them you have done so and require immediate trading. Good Luck.

I have been using HLB eBroking for the past 2 months and pretty happy about it. The brokage fees is very competitive compared to ealliance, who charge me from 0.4 - 0.6% depending on the amount of the contract.

So far, I have no complaint about HLB eBroking after they upgrade my credit limit. The only small problems are:

a) The portal never shows the details for the sales transactions. Only the purchase is shown as "Settlement Due".
b) There is no online statement of accounts.
c) The email notification for the transactions done are not consistantly.

Overall, HLB eBroking is great, it substantially reduce my transaction cost and make frequent trading is more fun.

yes, banking in to their HLB account or MBB account.
cash deposit machine, i presume it is okay but need to inform them after bank in.
for detail goto --> User Guide -> English -> Settlement -> Fund Transfer.

What is the difference between logging in using www.hlb.com.my (ecTrade) and logging in via www.hlebroking.com.my?

How's the speed like? Is the quote and execute response comparable to PC?

You can set how frequent you want the software to update the quote, the fastest is every seconds. The speed on execution is good but I think the PC platform is faster. But it is very good if you on the move. Previously I was making an order while driving along NSE highway. tongue.gif

I have both HLB eBroking and eAlliance accounts. Both are using the same software platform and i am tradig using both accounts due to the credit limit. (HLB is a bit stingy in credit limit.)

I noted that the speed for HLB to revert back the transactions are a bit slow, although the transactions are completed as fast as eAlliance. For example, if I send the order, i could see from my eAlliance screen that the lot are taken. However, it takes a while before HLB can update the status.

Nevertheless, HLB is better. I can alter and cancel the order by myself. For my eAlliance, i need my remiser to do that after i place the order.

no.. hlebroking did not offer direct CDS account, that was what my remisier told me..

anyone know where is the easiest way to apply for direct CDS?

I may be apply thru itradecimb.

Added on September 25, 2009, 9:52 pmwell, i guess for KLSE trading, hlebroking is the best with reasonable brokerage fee, Rm12++. prompt customer service and everything in order.

for US broking, if you can pay enough, use OptionExpress.
let's say if you want a cheap one, use Sogotrade (USD3), but you will found no or least customer support.

I am hong leong share trading supporter, however, i don't understand why they don't want to do Direct CDS business? now we have to apply somewhere else..

u can call them to send form to u.otherwise, u can drop by to their office to sign up. usually they takes 3 working days to process and open the acc. fast. as they attach in mail, usually wit a cds form.by this,u can open direct acc straight away.
