Unit trust ? I guess you meant trading account, right ? If you're playing contra RM5k, you need to have at least 2.5k in your tradking accunt. It is 2x trading limit for HLe unless you call the dealer to set it at higher limit.

only for contra?

The problem with Jupiter is that after you sell the stock, it will not reflect immediately how much trading limit you have...
Example inside your trust fund you got 4k
Monday you use up 2K to buy some shares
Tuesday you sell all your shares and earn around 200
So meaning inside your account you should have RM4.2k after selling all the shares...
What i experience is that the limit will not be reflected that soon... which causes me cannot buy more than 2K limit infact i should have 4.2k limit
Further to that their platform runs on Active X instead of Java where I am inside my company i cannot use the platform at all.
OSK works fine cause using Java...
Basically my experience with Jupiter is kinda bad...
I start trading using Jupiter on this Thursday and only using their platform for 2 days...

Want to use HLeBroking and going to sign up on Monday...

Can I just walk into any Hong Leong bank to sign up or i need to go to specific branch? Please advice for those sifu who is using HLeB.

Thanks!

virtualgay,

u can open the HLeBroking in Hong Leong Investment Bank only. Cannot open in Hong Leong Bank.

btw, i dun have tat trading limit problem with Jupiter, my available trading limit is immediately reflected after i sell my shares. But the trust account will take 3 days to update. If you re not withdrawing any cash, can just ignore the trust account amount. I dont know how come your available trading limit is not updated the moment you make a sale.. i think u need to talk tou ur dealer better.. coz Jupiter is still offering low %...

lowest brokerage fee if you trade online but when you call them to trade is totally different.
For HLeB, does the brokerage for call up and trade online the same price?

I know this is rather out of the blue, but when did HL launch it's ebroking? The exact date or just the month would be helpful. Thanks!

You need to call your dealer to do that. There is no way to do it in the fund transfer.
