Any idea to open US bank account in malaysia?

Some of the local brokerage firms do offer overseas trading.
You can try to check out Hong Leong E-Broking.

Beware guys, the US stock market is going up on low volume. That means professional money has stayed sideline and did not participate in the up move. When they have finish distributing to the public, then all the market needs is some surprise news to sent the stock market down again

By the way tonight have FOMC news which will rock the markets again

I think Hong Leong is one of the brokerage firm with cheapest fee offered.

If you are interested, just open an account, you can either trade online or manual.

HLe cannot trade online. else I already opened it long time ago.
Everything is manual. Sucks. When you already decide what price to enter, its already late.

MBtrading.com charge $4.95 / per trade. No min. deposit etc. Can apply for margin.

Sogo $3 per trade if not a day trader.

Hong Leong Cross Border Trading is expensive.

BUY/Sell Charges

$20/ trade Brokerage
Stamp Duty 0.10% USD
Other Charges - very minimal few cents USD
Bank Charges RM10 or USD2.9
Total Charges for example to buy :
200 C @ 4.70:

4.70x200 =940
+20
+0.94
+0.01
+2,90

Total Charges $23.85 or say about $25. both side say $50.

So, not for day trade..

You need C to close above $4.95 just for break even

Hong Leong have local brokerage of min RM40 per trade (purchase and sales)

CIMB only charge once, RM20 on purchase, no local brokerage on sale, so CIMB is cheaper.

and one more thing, exchange rates

            TT selling  TT buying
HLB      3.5040      3.4170
CIMB    3.4930      3.4290
OSK      3.4925      3.4415
You are forced to change to RM whenever you sell, Hong Leong forex spread is the widest, so hong leong is the most expensive.

so many losses here and there, high brokerage, conversion loss on every trade.

For day trade, have to use discount brokerage.
