the most the cd do is setting the correct/suggested MTU/modulation/encapsulation/multiplexing/VPI/VCI setting to match the ISP. yeah it can be done manually, albeit harder if we dont know the details. suitable for nubs though

it all depends on our own ISP....

few months back... 60.48, 60.49, 60.53, 60.54 were the best for ps3 online and gaming.... (also depends on ur area)

as of this past few days... 60.50, 60.51 are somewhat reliable... (which were considered worst few months back)

as long u can connect to PSN and able to play online games... then ur ip is considered fine...

Hi all,

I just recently obtained a PS3 and am now looking to get it working online.
Looking for a proper modem + router + wireless unit which works well with the PS3.

Currently I'm eyeing the Linksys WAG54G2
Will it work flawlessly with the PS3?

Otherwise.. what other brand/model will?

thanks! smile.gif

using wag54g2here for skrimisx. but im using normal ethernet as the distance between the two device is only 1m.

uptimes can reach months on my setup. it wont dc unless i did it intentionally (testing diff ip etc), or a few black-outs doh.gif.

for people who face frequent disconnections, it depends on their phoneline quality, dslam configuration, exchange configuration, or even the particular unit is faulty.

ive been using it for almost a year now
