I tried the demo before and I find it quite realistic. - The MOMO I heard there are lots of complains about the problematic pedals. I'm just wondering is this fixable by yourself?

Yes. I fixed mine already. There is tonnes of guide in the internet can guide you to repair the pedal. I'm fixed it once and the problem gone away and will likely never come again.

Ok then, 'cause I actually realised that there are problems on pedals and etc. on the MOMO and also know that there are lots of guides on fixing those. - I'm only just worried that those problem whether I can solve it by myself.

The only prob that u'll have is the pedal prob, that will cause spiking in throttle and not being able to get 100% throttle.

You wont get these prob out of the box but mostly due to each's behaviour and pedal handling style such as stepping on the throttle at an angle (meaning u senget ur feet to the side abit to press). This will in time cause the throttle to be displaced abit loose. This affects the pot (the component that controls the analog input) and its accuracy coz its never design to take sideway forces like that....only vertical stepping and release forces.

And notice the pedals have a couple of large airholes that can easily collect dust and other particles, which unofrtunately will affects the pot accuracy as well.

So as preventive measure (after experiencing this on my first set) Ive positioned the throttle directly below by feet so i press it down cleanly without sideway movement. And after using, i cover the pedal and the airholes with a clean cloth to avoid any dust collecting.

And ultimately, if it still occur, this is the best (if not the only) webpage that has a detailed instruction on how to clean ur pedals.

Don't push when you first time drive on that track. Drive around circuit to familiar with the track, your car and braking point.
Only tune your car until you familiar and get consistent lap time at that circuit.

Yeah, even though I'm so used to driving cars with keyboard, and now switched to MOMO I feel like a complete newbie that can't establish the brake point.

If I were to race with others online, I would just race my car with no pressure and try to get familiar with it. If I'm last then let it be, as long as my experience starts to gain bit by bit. biggrin.gif

Practice is all it takes and surf or ask around. Like edison said, dont rush it, or u'll get dissapointed pretty easily. I know it is tempting to floor the pedal as go as fast as u can at the straight and brake as late as u can and try to force the car to make that corner. But do it easy, take it as going to and unknown town and learn the way...look around and see how the road is...where to turn and how fast. If u accustomed to it, it'll be second nature. I drove to work taking the same route everyday without much thinking and i know what to expect of the road.

Moving from keyboard to steering wheel is a big jump. Actually ure moving to an on and off device (keyboard - where u press and depress throttle which goes to only 100% or 0%) to an analog one....u can feed gradually the throttle input and countersteer out of corners, pump the brakes to get the car to turn and such. It takes some practice. The muscles, especially would need a little getting used to.

O yeah....Congrats on acquiring the MOMO bluewind smile.gif

Most importantly....have fun.
