wanna ask...what is a reasonably good VR headset for VR racing? with no compatibility issue? I'm looking at HP Reverb G2 as baseline for comparison....comments and inputs from sifus here welcome...thank you!

For good budget and wanna i use for independent recording and performance tweaking ability Quest 2 is the best. All gaming apps, steam and other application made universally compatible to Quest 2 and lots of mods/side quest apps already build to cater for this headset. Here attached video of live video footage streaming inside my headset (internally recorded in headset) not via external PC recording app like Nvidia shadow play, OBS or Windows Xbox DVR. Had zero problem on all my VR sims. Plug & Play!

Hi to all Sifus, I am currently exploring other gaming genre, looking to dip my toe sim racing.

I bought Dakar Desert Rally despite the mixed reviews in steam, i actually enjoy it. Currently using controller and looking up guide to tune the vehicle sensitivity.

Not sure how to describe, I want to get into this sim racing without having to go through the upgrade path, just stick to one racing wheel for long term.

Currently looking at Thrustmaster T300rs GT and the more expensive Moza R5 bundle (around rm 3k in Shopee). I am leaning to the R5 due to that Direct Drive tech, yet I watched many youtube using the T300 without problem.

Which one should I go for ?

Haha. We have same dilemma. In the end I get r5 . Coming this weekend.

First I was thinking to get t300rs too because my first rig. Saw used sell cheap cheap.

After watching MF Ghost, it be interesting if there is a race game that could follow their race tracks like Hakone/Lake Ashinoko

Yes Pico 4 and other VR headset can support any racing game that support VR . It just need to interface properly with the PC (USB tethered or wireless) or software driver such as via STEAMVR, OPENVR, WMR and etc.

Wah! long time no update...
