hp would be ok...i forgot what series im referring to..v3000series...my bro currently using for prog purpose

oo.. maybe can try the hp compaq series.. got mine for less than 2k.. just for normal usage though.. or u can try acer.. but i heard the quality is terrible..

can get v3000 compaq less then 2k but just dont get the AMD processor...will give you hell lots of problem

Brand: not specific (fujitsu?)
Budget: RM4k to 6k (6k is my limit)
Specific: below 15 inch. light weight. good processor. not on board graphic. 160GB HDD above.

I dunno which one to choose... usually use for travel only and do some online n chatting n some presentation edit and words edit... gaming sometimes only... c movie and listen to song...

I wanted 2 buy a laptop for study n some entertaiment.

I am an Engineer. I need a new laptop, mobile enough so I can bring anywhere (Now everyday need to take boat because I'm working in an island). I will use my laptop for my work, mostly Microsolf Office applications, but sometimes need to open the Autocad construction drawing. Furthermore, I'm now self-learning C++ programming, & the laptop is also for my entertainment, for online chatting, surfing the internet, watching some movies through internet, downloading, and perhaps some light gaming(I love simulation & strategy game).

Brand
- Personally I do not prefer Dell, Ftec & HP. Just because I don't like the brands.

Budget
- The highest I can go is RM4200.

Specs
- Core 2 duo or equivalent.
- At least 1GB ram, and it must be DDR2 so that I can upgrade later with a lower cost.
- Don't really care about the size of hard disk. 120GB is good enough for me.
- Prefer the glossy screen, as it looks kinda lovely, and widescreen too.
- suitable for wireless broadband. include webcam.

Size
- Any size is ok. But smaller is more appreciated.

Thats all. Hope can get some recommendation here.

U need to be more specific about ur requirements. U just say good processor and not onboard graphics. Use for normal things. If like that only any laptop will do. About 3k also enuf. But since ur budget so high then get dell xps M1330 (RM 4199) and then upgrade the warranty for peace of mind.

sony vaio cr or apple macbook

Asus F5V (RM2999) but with normal onboard graphics and normal design
Or if u not bored with Dell brand then Dell Inspiron 1420 (RM2499).. If u want to find out more there is a thread for Dell Inspiron 1420. Can read the review there.
For HP those that i see nice is above 3k.

For a business look design get Sony SZ RM 4988 with dedicated graphic card. DeLarafi just bought a Sony SZ. Can ask him for review.
Not sure bout apple macbook.

What about U6Sg24DPM from Asus... u guys suggest this one? RM4988 also... i do travel with laptop quite often... n usually listen to some music n do do some presentation to customer n clients using this laptop... doing slide show using this laptop n online as well... not often for gaming... just minor gaming... RM5k budget... any other can intro?
